Nice, where did you get it from?
The artwork on it looks it might possibly be from wotsizface who does loads of amazing Sheffield cartoons?
Joe Scarborough![]()
Club shop I believe. I bought a tee shirt with the same design.
Ah so how old does that make it then?
A friend I know from the bookies and used to play 5 aside with saw it in a charity shop here and bought it for me!
Bargain!
And it means that I obviously spend too much time mentioning the Blades these days haha!![]()
He's a Worcester Sauce 5 columnist trying to bring down Henderson's from within. Treat with cautionAre you a full on adopted blade then?
Did you literally fall in love at the game v Worcester?

Don't look much like maggots in that pot. And it's never been a gallon.
Poor showing.

Well...
A lot of it was initially to do with our Cup game of course.. the previous year we'd played Cov and Scunny, and you all know what the Cov fans are like now, nuff said about them (altho the big hat and scarf blokes genuinely applauded us after), Scunny fans were a bit 'lets give these tin pot non leaguers a good stuffing' until after the replay and they knew they were lucky to scrape through although they only brought a 100 to it.
And so onto the game at BDTBL the year after... I began lurking on here a good week before ,as did a couple of others from our forum and got a feel for how a lot of you were genuinely interested in us and the game and the previous history (I registered a few days before the game but didnt get accepted till after it haha) , and then on the day arriving on the coach to get a nice friendly welcome from one of your co-ordinator/steward people (certainly nowt like that at Cov or Scunny), into BDTBlL and my seat in that upper tier (first thing I said was 'wow what a great view and look at that bowling green pitch!')
I was proud we brought over 2k along (pity some idiots tried to spoil it a bit) and the pretty big slice of genuine hardcore Blades turned out too and the respect seemed there from the start..and carried on through the game right to the end which I actually found genuinely moving, your players forming that guard of honour applauding us off and Blades fans standing to clap our efforts, which hadnt been bad for 80 odd minutes till wilting at the death.
So in a nutshell.. this preconceived perception of 'that big bad horrible bunch' you were all made out to be over the years just didnt make any sense to me in the end...and here I am still nearly 18 months on still chatting to you all and its a great place to be!
Am I an adopted Blade?
I will be when I come to the game vs Scunny, can't wait for it.![]()
From someone in the know unfortunately your mates were a complete set of 'big bad horrible bunch' on the concourse , the worse seen at the Lane. Youre Ok though#takes deep breath#

I have a lot of respect for 'non-league' fans having often been to games at Blyth Spartans, Whitley Bay, North Shields etc. and they all have a small but fanatic supporter base some of who travel to away games to support their team.I dont think any of them get it to be honest, they think im some crazy weird lunatic who needs his head testing for sure haha.
A mate at work who did go to all the Cup games with me before and the odd league game doesnt understand my enthusiasm, I knew he wouldnt but I still asked him 'fancy coming upto see the Sheffield United v Scunny game' and this look of bewilderment descended on him 'why would I want to travel that distance and watch them for?'... but then in reality he's an armchair Manure fan and part time Worcester gloryseeker lol
One chap I see regularly at Worcester games twigged it though when I told him.. his reply was 'thats a pretty poignant game to go to and will be a bit of a trip down memory lane for you'
Proper non league fans/friends who understand this will never consider it weird...its like normal behaviour to go to seemingly random games that for whatever reason draws you in with their appeal. Ive been going to Kidderminster games a lot the weeks when Worcester have played away games, the general attitude amongst a fair few of their fans is that the National North is a pub league and below their level which irks me a lot, so Im hoping they dont gain automatic promotion and if they make the play offs they come a cropper to bring them down a peg or two, I do kinda enjoy their games though as they play a decent style on the eye.
