Yes, I remember that. I don't get wound up about fans singing, it's just part of football.

Houchen, Its unfortunate that there is now bad blood between the two set of fans and I doubt I would have sang there's only one Sisu and I wouldn't wish owners like that on anyone. However it came at a time when we were on the ascendancy and just wanted to get on with the game. Also it may well have meant that our fans could have missed trains back to Sheffield, although I don't know when the last train was. I have nothing against Coventry City and I hope they get out of this mess. I also hope that Coventry fans understand that during the game we are just desperate to win a game of football and it was only 5 minutes left in a game that we really should have been winning (expectations before the game) but at that point weren't and the protest just slowed down the game and made it frustrating. Clearly the game was planned as it was on Sky etc to be an opportunity to protest against Sisu but if that negatively affects United then naturally our fans just wanted to game to be back on. As it happened we scored straight after and then naturally the banter/gloating that happens at any football game.

All the best for the rest of the season and hope to see Cov back on their feet.

Every Coventy fan should come on here and say thank you to us all for accepting a 2-1 win and not wanting the score to be adjusted even more in our favour.

If any team had played in a stadium where hundreds of fans were blowing referees whistles 24/7 on top of pitch invasions, they'd rightly expect some sort of compensation.

The thick shits should keep their gobs shut. Any semblance of sympathy I had for them is rapidly waining.

Agreed, Lady HB commented that she was sure we have had managers in the past who would have told the players to play on after the ref blew, get the game called and take the three points. Instead the Blades carried on and took all three, with just a little help from the Cov fans disruption, Thanks guys.

The bad blood is purely of their making Books.

If they sat back and thought about it, they'd apologise for tonight and try to get us on board.

You scraped past one of the sides who are going down.

Yes, yes we did. We played poorly and still has enough to win at your ground. Or did we...is it your home ground or not...if not what is...if it is...for how much longer....you enjoy your whistles and flags as you go into liquidation and pass into history as a meer footnote in relevance. I can tell you though that its a lovely feeling knowing your club owns its own stadium and isnt just a footballing version of a dirty smelly squatter. Still as Jimmy Hill would have shown you, chin up.

Perhaps, in all the madness of this evening, the tribute at half time was very poignant. What would Jimmy make of the owners? What would he make of the fans with whistles and tennis balls and pathetic pitch invasions? What would he make of those stalwart fans with their Sky Blue hats and scarves sat looking on glum? What indeed.

I can guarantee if they'd even taken a point in this game the 'view from' would've been full of gloating about it. I am so pleased that we did them and pissed them off in the process, hopefully the extra 2 points will have no baring (to us) at the end of the season but after all this hoo har I'm glad we took all the points and they can fuck off when they come to our place too.

I bet theyre all looking forwards to spending another season in League 2 #chuckle chuckle#

:fattwat:
Never usually laugh at a clubs demise over evil owners (charlton, Portsmouth, blackburn) but Coventry have made an exquisite exception.

I still remember their shite whistling which always conveniently quietened down whenever they attacked.

Their time wasting scummy fans that tried throwing tennis balls at our players and invaded the pitch, which ultimately cost them the point :D

The Sisu in chants really pissed em off which only made things more amusing. People bang on we shouldn't laugh at suffering clubs, well where was all this generosity in the Tevez affair? Didn't see any other cunts protesting with us other than mocking and laughing. Why should we, fuck em.

So no. Fuck their shitty rented stadium, fuck their shit fans, and fuck their shit club. Hope Sisu stays until they liquidate in the Conference and the only decent players they have rat out and leave until nothing is left and their irrelevant club slowly fades and dies. Certainly will have a good jolly laugh when that day happens. I'm enjoying every minute of their suffering.

Jesus.

Comparing the Tevez situation is laughable.

Haven't been on here in a while, but had a notification come up from this post.

I love how you lot still go on about this. :D

Thought Tyler had returned for a second. Sadly it was just a Coventry fan. Any more pitch invasions planned? Why didn't you do it against Stoke? Seemed a good opportunity but then again you were winning so guess it wasn't convenient was it.

I love this thread because I was in Leeds and it was my birthday. I was watching the game on my phone as nobody had it on. One man mosh and a few chats and then there was this thread!

Because it wasn't on TV?

You will, the club is dying. We tried for years to stop it and it didn't work.

Of course that is amusing for you lot.
Go on the Leeds board find out what they did to get things sorted they had an issue with a new logo which got turned around, not too dissimilar to your problem...

When you have little, sorry no regard for travelling fans on a weekday night then you’re right. You put yourself ahead of our fans.

You make out that we literally protested to wind you up. That is what I don't get.

We had tried every type of protest previously to that and it gained no attention from the media. The protest that night was our best as the media got involved. No one from Coventry cared out the result that night.

Again, totally incomparable. We tried every protest, spent significant sums of money and time and it didn't work.

To say it isn't to dissimilar is laughable.

That's the joke. I thought I'd cheer you up.
Anyway after asking last season what the problem was, everything I was told was things that had happened to us! Amazing. You know when you sit down and look at the numbers it's an expensive business running a football club.

Why didn't you have a sit in on the pitch before the game, or at half time? Delay kick off. Instead of blowing whistles when we were attacking? If the result didn't matter why was that?

You don’t get it. I don’t think you did it to wind us up, but Coventry is not an easy place to get to and certainly not to get from when a game has been delayed. You cared nothing for our fans return travel

We are literally without a home stadium and are dwindling into non-league. The problem with SISU isn't to do with finances and not funding the team.

So what should we have done? Just not protest?

You would have moaned if kick off was delayed.
Sky wouldn't have even mentioned sit in if it happened at half time.
