So
It's rapidly approaching
It's recently become tradition that the JTW is a time where we spunk a few quid to get ......... well ..............not much value.

What's your best guesses or ITK on the ins and outs that are likely next month?

I can't see us shifting much on as they will drag out their options until the Summer and the end of their contracts.
I can see a few loans extending into the rest of the season - Alcock, McNuts, Higdon.

Will we send Sammon back?
Can we?

It's their last chance to affect the squad for this season's promotion meander.
Will they grasp it?

I'm hoping for ten out either permanently or on loan with a view to sell / release, and SIMULTANEOUSLY five in as a mix of permanent / loan with a view to buy perhaps. Followed by another ten / twelve out in the summer and six or seven in.

I'm expecting 3 / 4 out and some recycled sob stories about fax machines / naughty agents / bad luck / sun spots / communication breakdowns / biblical floods / pestilence etc

UTB & FTP

Here we go! It's starting :D

Don't bother Judge

These rumours are no doubt on the money, but the fact the board will have sold them within 3 months of their arrival means you're wasting your cash

Honesty I have alot more faith in Adkins than I would with Clough over transfers. Woolford aside, Hammond's getting better and will replace and eclipse Doyle. Sharp scores goals and will be an asset for any team in this league. Edgar's decent, prefer him to Collins. With Cloughie we'd be scouring Scotland or Pride Park.

Lets prepare for the return of Magic Mike and his protégé.

anyone notice which areas hes trying to strengthen with these transfers if they are true looking at some of the other tweets on there i dont exactly trust fltransfers but seems hes going for midfielders and wingers again but nothing about looking for a new cb or anything about dan burn as he was so keen to sign him

He won't go for an attacker imo. He knows the areas that need attention. If he does a Clough and ignores those areas and fails miserably at the end of the season he will be going the same way as Clough.

I'd expect no more than 1 or 2 in if we get a few out. Anything more than that is extremely optimistic.

In

Rory McArdle - Solid defender, knows the league well and was Bradfords player of the year last season

John Egan - See above. Think he's out of contract in the summer too (signed a 2 year deal in 2014 but not sure if he's since signed an extension)

Matt Smith - The target / link-up man we've been craving for to play alongside Billy / Done. Bossed it for Bristol City last season on loan. Not sure about his current situation at Fulham as he played and scored in their first game of this season but was then out for 2 months injured and only just returned

Michael Timlin - The experienced tough-tackling midfielder we need, vast experience of this league and potential captain material.

Out

Collins
Alcock
Scougall
Sammon (terminate his loan if we can)
Woolford
Higdon
J Wallace
McFadzean

I've only just stopped having nightmares from the time him and Matt Hill played centre half away at Walsall a few seasons ago!

To be honest I'd forgotten we even had him! To be fair to him it was only third senior appearance of his career (according to wiki...)

I know it's only Jan so can't imagine United doing much, I know them too well...

Would be very very happy with:
In - Lewis McGugan (pie in the sky!), John Egan, Callum Harriot, Tom Bradshaw. recall DCL & Khan
Out - Alcock, Woolford, McFadzean, Scougall, Higdon. Send Sammon back. Loan out - Diego, Banton, Willis, McGahey, Dimaio.
