If there is to be a cull then he has to be on the list

He could be Messi, but if he is always injured then he is no good to anyone and unfortunately there lies the problem. He may have been told he can leave, but who would take a player that is never fit enough to turn out two games on the bounce?

Yes, I think he was. Clough never solved the centre half problem, he just made it more complicated.

The former is a centre back and latter a midfielder - very young, no first team experience that I can see.

Morsy might be a deal we can get over the line now Wilson and Morgan are there. If he wants to that is.

Surely we can chuck in some makeweights on loan or transfer. Players like Whiteman, DDG, McDonough, McGahey could get some valuable time for a team lacking in finance and squad numbers.

I don't think we'll bring many in this window, 1 maybe 2.

I wouldn't be against us signing Hammond on a longer term loan or even a permanent deal come the end of the season so long as he is partnered by a new signing (for me that'd be Morsy) thus allowing Basham to drop into CB.

If we fail to bring in a player of Morsy's talent and we have to stick with the Hammond/Basham duo then I'd look to bring in a centre half. Burn would be nice but I fear he is probably out of the question but he'd certainly be high up on my list of targets & hopefully Adkins should he be available.

The more I see of Sammon, the more I feel he should be sent back, (if we can) then of course that means we need another striker.

Wallace and Higdon are done at the club so I'm told and If rumours are true re Scougs and JCR, adding to that both Alcock to Donny and Sparky at Portsmouth then that could be potentially half a dozen out with still a chance there could be one or two more such as Flo, Freeman etc should hopefully allow a couple to come in

It's time to be ruthless for the good of the cause
