I know "bigger" clubs are after him, but he was a stand out player at the lane for them, and he's a midfielder.
 

Don't think we have a prayer given the fees they have been able to attract for players.
They aren't short of cash and don't need to sell.

We could however find the 'next' Jota from abroad and bring him across. Plenty of players would be dying to play in England. Hope we can start to expand our scouting

But that would mean we would have to start looking abroad!!............non starter that!
 
I think we can stretch to about 50 quid for him.

Lets have a go.

As others have said mate, no chance, he's more likely to join a premier League team that's just got promoted or one like West Brom that see him as someone to add to their squad.
 
I had a great view of him in that Brentford game. As he was the one player that concerned me I was watching his every move. Undoubtedly he is a very good and exciting player, but at the end of the day what did he achieve? Eventually got frustrated and faded out of the game. No point speculating though, looks like 3 or 4 clubs will be offering the 8mil plus to take him from Brentford.
 
Out of our range, both in terms of fee and wages. He'll go to Wolves or one of the parachute teams. I doubt he'd leave Brentford for us anyway. London must be a draw.
 
Price tag aside, not the kind of player required.

Enforcer type (Matic) who can preferably play a wee bit but doesn't have to add so much to the creative talent we already have.

Up top in particular (at least 2) and another CB is what we require.

This would be a non-starter anyway, but out of interest he went back to Eibar for a spell last season because either he or his partner was homesick - so presumably moving even further away wouldn't be entertained. This is of course a minor issue compared to the fact that there will be numerous clubs with a lot of money with Jota on their wishlist.
 
This has been open for a few hours now, surely he must be worth £10-12m by now!???
 
I thought jota had a great game. I wish we were going for players like this. But we've got more chance of munchies re-opening and serving delicious pork sandwiches.
