He needs time out , to come of this habit. Mean time he will be sacked sadly.

When you go past the fact that he has failed a drug test for the second time, after a very lucky escape, and the anger about the fact he has been an absolute idiot to have screwed up a second time. When you look at it from a wider angle, you see a man who has obviously got some pretty severe demons.

I don't know if it is a lack of intelligence to deal with being a position in life where he has been, a young professional footballer earning money beyond the widest dreams of most men, or it is a case of a young man being unable to deal with the pressure that will have come with all the trappings of fame or fortune.

What it does scream out to me is that Jose Baxter (irregardless of opinions on footballing ability) really needs to take control of his life, he is facing 2 years out of the games now, as if the B test comes back positive and with his history then he will get the book thrown at him. Over the next 2 years he has to get himself sorted out, and sorted out for good, because the only alternative is that by the time he is 30, he will be skint, in to all kinds of trouble and will have thrown away the biggest chance of his life.
It's the Ched (and Adam Johnson and countless others) thing all over again - because he's got loads of money he's "untouchable". It won't have crossed his mind he'll get caught again, or if he does he'll be thinking the Club will keep him on, because clubs hardly ever sack players. Failing that he'll get a move to another club, no doubt with a nice little signing on fee.

A young guy earning a fortune with a s**t load of spare time on his hands = boredom. Mates who don't give a fuck and are probably sniffing said stuff alongside him.

We need to sack him, we gave him a second chance and he hasn't sorted himself out - I'm all for the club offering him support but let's not be paying the idiot as well, he's f**ked up let him know what it's like to earn nothing for the next 2 years. That alone should give him the wake up call he needs.

Congratulations Jose, you have ruined your career, and are wasting an opportunity millions of people would love to have, playing the sport you love for a living, and making a fortune doing so.

Wonder if they'll be any ramifications for club. Would have thought all clubs should have internal drugs testing as part of player contracts so they never knowingly field a doped up player.

In our case a points deduction would be irrelevant cause his performance was not improved, he consistently been a shit, lazy fat lump with an occasional good pass not worthy of our crappy home shirt

Do League 1 teams drug test their players? I'd be surprised. Would cost a fair amount.

Exactly. Jose Baxter is on a downward spiral at the moment. It's been really obvious from the stories about him in the last year. He needs to get himself sorted out as a person and get back onto the straight and narrow, before he even thinks about playing football again (which he will likely be banned from for a good while anyway).

It is a sad situation. Yes, we can all say t*at, waster, loser etc, but the reality is this is a boy who has gone down a dark path and he needs to save himself from going further down that path (and needs professional help to do this).

I am disappointed, as he is a talented player, one of only a few at the lane worth watching in last few years. Without his goals and assists this season we would be even further off the top six by now. He was also the first player to score for us at Wembley since Alan Cork, so thats one really good memory Baxter has provided fans with, which i certainly wont forget.

Given he is almost certainly done at the club (whether he is sacked, or let go in the summer), I wish him well, and hope he turns his life around.

Baxters cost us.more than a fair amount in wages stollen and reputation alone. Dint Chelsea sue one of their players for his wages back when he was done for drugs?

Romanian striker. I can't remember his name.

Don't worry, I did too.

Meanwhile, I blame the concourse nutters from Saturday because before the match they were singing that song about "Jose Baxter's bringing the Charlie..." I then had to explain to my new woman about our number 11's druggie dabbles.

Yesterday I had a phone conversation with her that went something like; "You know that player of ours I told you who had a drug issue or two? Well, guess what...?"

Hope you said that in the Sheffield accent that she likes mate!

Don't forget, we don't say "seemed", as in "he seemed like a good bloke", we say "sempt",, as in "David Weir? Aye, he allus sempt out of his depth"

Good luck!

Confirmed drugs by the star.....

But, yeah, maybe he did just have a fight in the dressing room. What makes the whole thing stink for me is how the club believed him and supported him when his drink was "spiked"

Wanker. Fuck off.
Exactly, read his sob story again and feel sick.

The FA and everyone else within the game makes it absolutely clear what the consequences of drug taking is.

He has absolutely no regard for us, Sheffield United fans.

Please once and for all fuck him off.

He has enough money to sort his own rehabilitation out and the FA and PFA will help him.

Here's someone about to plead guilty to save his arse and minimise his ban.

No wonder he was tubby if the club was paying for the stollen he eats.

Leopard and spots!get rid of the useless junky pie eating in some blades views " most creative player at the club" , DISGRACE !!!!!!!

Whatever he was on we know for certain it wasn't performance enhancing.
