It's the Ched (and Adam Johnson and countless others) thing all over again - because he's got loads of money he's "untouchable". It won't have crossed his mind he'll get caught again, or if he does he'll be thinking the Club will keep him on, because clubs hardly ever sack players. Failing that he'll get a move to another club, no doubt with a nice little signing on fee. When you go past the fact that he has failed a drug test for the second time, after a very lucky escape, and the anger about the fact he has been an absolute idiot to have screwed up a second time. When you look at it from a wider angle, you see a man who has obviously got some pretty severe demons.
I don't know if it is a lack of intelligence to deal with being a position in life where he has been, a young professional footballer earning money beyond the widest dreams of most men, or it is a case of a young man being unable to deal with the pressure that will have come with all the trappings of fame or fortune.
What it does scream out to me is that Jose Baxter (irregardless of opinions on footballing ability) really needs to take control of his life, he is facing 2 years out of the games now, as if the B test comes back positive and with his history then he will get the book thrown at him. Over the next 2 years he has to get himself sorted out, and sorted out for good, because the only alternative is that by the time he is 30, he will be skint, in to all kinds of trouble and will have thrown away the biggest chance of his life.

Wonder if they'll be any ramifications for club. Would have thought all clubs should have internal drugs testing as part of player contracts so they never knowingly field a doped up player.
In our case a points deduction would be irrelevant cause his performance was not improved, he consistently been a shit, lazy fat lump with an occasional good pass not worthy of our crappy home shirt
Do League 1 teams drug test their players? I'd be surprised. Would cost a fair amount.

Baxters cost us.more than a fair amount in wages stollen and reputation alone. Dint Chelsea sue one of their players for his wages back when he was done for drugs?Do League 1 teams drug test their players? I'd be surprised. Would cost a fair amount.

MutuRomanian striker. I can't remember his name.
Don't worry, I did too.
Meanwhile, I blame the concourse nutters from Saturday because before the match they were singing that song about "Jose Baxter's bringing the Charlie..." I then had to explain to my new woman about our number 11's druggie dabbles.
Yesterday I had a phone conversation with her that went something like; "You know that player of ours I told you who had a drug issue or two? Well, guess what...?"
Exactly, read his sob story again and feel sick.Confirmed drugs by the star.....

But, yeah, maybe he did just have a fight in the dressing room. What makes the whole thing stink for me is how the club believed him and supported him when his drink was "spiked"
Wanker. Fuck off.
