Count me in ,i was judging him on when he was here before and the few times ive seen him since. Pleasantly surprised and hope he carries on.

I raised this question when we signed him but it got lost somewhere in the thread.

I've not seen it mentioned anywhere but does anyone know if a fee has been agreed and if it's likely we'll sign him permanently if he does well enough for us?

Not sure, but you can rest assured that afterwards we will agree a fee and sell him if he does well for us.

This is ridiculous and embarrassing. I'm neither apologetic nor gloating; just delighted that two pacy, sharp new recruits have bagged a goal apiece. Well done both of you; Danny and all the lads.

We've had a very significant three days. It's all to play for now - No, sit down Tranny and Donny; not you!

Everyone around me tonight was moaning about him until he scored! And to be fair he wasn't playing very well, but he scored and we won, so I'm quite happy to give him a few games at this level and then decide. And yes, I was completely underwhelmed when we brought him back.

NOt seen him yet since his return. Looking forward to Saturday. I think we are going to smash Colchester to pieces.

Blades 1 - 0 Colchester
o.g 90+6

It's only ------------ and we should be smashing them into oblivion anyway , as soon as he doesn't score he's shit

Some pretty pathetic stuff was said at the time of his signing. Anyone care to offer up an apology now?

Hes not ours.
Hes a loan player. Nothing more. Thats what i think pissed alot of people off at the time. (not the player himself) Selling our top scorer & getting a loan replacement in.
If he helps get us up then great for the lad & the club. But if we did get up, who would we replace him with?

True but if that loan player turns our season round then alls well.
A loan player got the unclean up last season. Without him they were nothing. Same seems to be happening this season. I think we are just against loans as for us they are usually shit. (one or two that arent)

We've strengthened the squad all round. Experienced midfielder a la Speed/ McCall/Cowans/Spackman etc, a wide player, a forward, experienced defender, got shut of a decent player fair enough but god did he cost us some of the draws this season. The amount of time he could have squared the ball is shocking !! plus we got some cash in bank, seems good business to me.

The only thing you was wrong about is the money in the bank. KM has taken that for himself

Have a like for the above.

Once upon a time this place used to be very interesting in the aftermath of a game and the interest kind of tailed off, returning the day before the next match. Now, each game is followed by "we are shit" or "where are those cunts who called us shit" threads (draws are now the most interesting because you can get either/both of these). Oh, the joy.

Roll on the middle of the week so the name calling can cease and we can have a laugh for a day or two before the teams get picked again.

Good result last night and one in the eye for Hoofy so that makes it sweeter than sweet!

Ok I don't like loans but I reckon that KM and DW are thinking this way - we now have a pacey attack, on loan. and they will get us to at least the play off's and hopefully automatic.

When we go up!!! we will then be in a better financial position to make permanent signings, I know wishful thinking here, and also reassess whether we offer terms to Higginbottom, Robson, Kitson et al who are on temp contracts.

Youngsters like Murphy have already been assessed as being able to play at Championship, if not at a higher level.

We will then not have a number of long contracted players whom we have to pay but will not feature.

I know Cressy, Doyle and Collins had contracts extended but surely at a reduced rate to meet the 65% and at least two of these could do a job for another side in league 1.

I can see some logic in all this as it seems to set us up financially for either Championship or god forbid another season in this dreadful league.

The Championship is now turning into a tough and expensive league to compete in and we need to leave ourselves with as much financial leeway for next season so that we can at least compete

Where has it gone?

Look at the accounts. The suggestion that McCabe has taken it is just daft. He's used it to pay for one of his mistakes, within the club - that's more like it.

Eat my shorts, Semi-Pro! :)

I don't get to many away games at my advanced age but I'm pleased by reports of two decent performances as well as results. It's going to be a fascinating run-in isn't it?

Dont get carried away by Forte's goal, he was dreadful at Bury, no strength, out muscled, slow to react, lucky that his bad touch gave him the chance to get a strike off on goal

Wouldn't the wages of the five players moving out cover that?

5 ??

Probably not seeing as we've brought in two from the Premiership. One from a team in Europe (OK he wouldn't have been on much at Motherwell) and an ex Scotland international who last played at Championship level. Basically with the exception of Murphy all at a higher level than us.

We've shipped out a youth player in Philliskirk. A reserve/ ex youth player in McAllister. Porter who (if memory serves me right) took a deduction in salary?!? Cofie a youth player.

All those departures have gone to teams lower than us. Blackman is the exception to this who has "gone up in the ladder".

In layman terms...

If you think Philliskirk, McAllister, Porter, Cofie & Blackman earn more money than Robson, Forte, Murphy & Higginbotham then you are wrong

Seems reasonable but we may not be paying 100% of the loanees' wages.

Higgsboson will be the player on silly money.

Shit :-(

the sale of any player is an incoming , true , but seeing our incomings are falling well short of our running costs its going to cut the losses,
weve lost more in tv money than what weve got in, 10 or so live games in the championship at 85k a pot has become 1 40k fee for the game at notts county three quartes of a million loss

dont forget gates are down and we are offering far more "deals" just to try and make up the loss
22000 average for eg in the championship , is now 18000 rounding it up /down
so every game we are 4000 £25 quids down, or a £100K x 23 = 2,3 million quid loss of gate money

exactly the loss that covers the sale of blackman and others
and thats not taking in the loss of the sales of pies drinks programmes team shirts to those now missing

Or you could have said...Bury were tht worried about him they defender deep and Forte always had two players on him. He closed down well but was sometimes outmuscled. Howeverhe was lively in and around the box and took his goal well.

Dreadful ? no
Out muscled? Yes sometimes by two defenders considerably bigger than him
Slow to react-? You serious ? He was trying to anticipate the flicks off Kitson and the passes from the midfield all game
Lucky first touch for the goal ? Quick to react from it and an excellant finish

Keith Edwards was often shit in games, barely touching the ball but you knew he would score us a winner more often thn not
