Jon Parkin came through Barnsley was a real talent very skillful for a big player.
I think he could have gone to the top but fitness was his big problem with him and stopped his progress.
Whether it was he didn't want it enough what !! he's thrown a big part of his career away in the lower leagues.He may regret it now as the rewards are massive these days.
Barnsley played us at the lane when he was very young,forgot the score but he looked a real player in the making
