As much as I think he would be good in the team he only has one year experience in the prem. I think if Wolves were going to let him go they may have to reduce the price as is he not near the end of his current contract aswell?

That would be a solid signing. :)
IF he doesn't get injured, we'd be fighting off Villa which i would think is close to where he lives(not to far to sheffield though)

4 million?? Way to much for a player who is overated IMO. Davenport at spurs would be a better option.

id say season loan with view to permanent deal and then pay 2 mil tops

Reports this morning are saying anywhere from £2m to £4. I don't think we'd get him for £2m, and can't see us spending £4m.

As good as he is, I wouldn't pay more than £1.5m upfront with up to £750,000 dependent on us staying up, appearances, clean sheets etc. But then again, I'm not Sir Neil ;)

Trouble is everyone knows that going up brings a load of cash and the prices go up.

trouble is that weve let our transfer budget out therefore clubs know we have the cash and bump up their prices we should of said we ahd 5 million and then we proably would be able to get quality players cheaper as theywont bump up

I wasn't aware the club had made any annoucements on transfer budgets.

I've seen loads of paper talk though.

I think the figures mentioned will put him out of our league. Shame. Still, think that lad from Crewe's a better option.

Apparently Sevilla are after him too, he wouldn't turn down european football i think, but a very unlikely rumour.

Signed for Everton today for £5m.

Someone told me it was £5.5m he'd gone for. Either way, too much.
Today's transfer market has become even more inflated than I had previously imagined it would have, based on the evidence of Everton's last 2 signings.
Both good players but inflated price tag if you ask me.
