From the last few interviews, it seems like Wilder is after something like this

-------------------Long
Brayford ----CB------CB------Hussey
Duffy Basham Whiteman Scougs Done
-------------------Sharp

or

He said we're after a new CM I'm pretty sure in his comments on Hammond so that's one more 'new player', I suspect in Whitemans position unless he'll play Basham as a CB. Also, surely Adams has to feature but I know Wilder hasn't commented on him, maybe to give him a subtle kick up the backside towards his off-field 'issues'?

I'd have:

Long/new
Brayford new new Hussey
Adams Basham new Duffy
Sharp Done

Maybe a new RM and Adams in Dones place.

He played 4231 before at NTFC. Cannot see that dramatically changing. He hasn't lost a game since December I cannot see him changing his tactics.

He said one or 2 CBs, which isn't enough unless he sees Basham as a CB. I'd be surprised if he ended up playing there though.

I think, unless we get shut of those on the list, we might not be bringing that many players in.

Long

............Basham..New..........
Adams.......Done.......Duffy

I like.

I don't think he is thinking about Long and I think that Adams is not in the plans.Long's bluff will be called and if he has anywhere to go that fee will be re-invested. I think Adams is the sacrificial sale to finance what is needed at the back. IMHO.

Starting to take shape. I am not sure yet that Done is confirmed member of the starting line up though.

Showing positive intent though which cannot be a bad thing.

Whether we get rid of them or not we still need at least 2 centre halves

Long/New

Brayford Tafazolli? New Hussey

Basham New

Duffy New New/Adams

Sharp

Maybe something like that.

I think there's a good chance he'll primarily play with 4-4-2 though. Sharp dictates that to an extent.

I guessing currents that is what we would be going with.

I do think we need an option of a big man up front. Doesn't have to be a starter but CW played Collins (6ft1) with Marc Richards (6ft1) and had John Marquis (6ft1) so think he quiet likes a big man.

Or we have no idea until CW completes all transfers . Let's wait and see , speculation is nice but gets us no where , like the silly bastards who go on about results , and if we beat , them , and them and them , and usually we finish up losing the lot .

Friendly games will give us a idea how CW intends to line up , and his starting 11 will be .

We need a tall mobile striker. We really do. It's not an optional extra.

This.

I can't see Billy converting too many crosses, and with the new signings of Duffy and Hussey who like to whip them in I'd suggest without a striker capable of scoring headers we are wasting their talents.

I can't understand why people don't realise that having a tall striker who's capable in the air doesn't mean we will start hoofing it. Playing on the floor is great, and I hope we do a lot of it, but not exclusively.

Excluding Barcelona, I'm struggling to think of one of Europe's elite teams that doesn't have this option. Real Madrid and Bayern Munich aren't known for hoof-ball but it doesn't stop a player like Benzema or Lewandowski getting on the end of crosses.

I'm thinking so far it's ......

New GK

Brayford New CH New CH Hussey

New RW New CM New CM Duffy

Sharp New CF

Subs: Long, Adams, Basham, Whiteman, Done, New, New.

Come on Tufty !!! :D
