This will make sense if you've already recieved a letter (I haven't, woo!)
but here is a ticket office announcement (come on official club staff :), I know you are watching, sign up and post stuff like this yourself! ;)) -
The Club does understand and apologises for the frustrations of supporters affected by the change in the John Street Stand.

The only seats affected are those from 140 onwards.

The Club has imposed the current match day and new season ticket ruling of 2 adults per child, on existing season ticket holders in that section. With considerations made for families with Concessions as part of the overall grouping.

This is due to a number of complaints, feedback from the Police, feedback from the Safety Advisory Group, comments from the F.A. and Football League, after recent fixtures this season.

The Club is not in a position to ignore these matters.

We have in previous years allowed current season ticket holders to continue to renew their seats regardless of whether they were accompanied by children. We now have a Family / Children's enclosure whereby the majority of tickets are held by adults.

We are currently looking at the possibility of a new Family / Children's Enclosure for future seasons either in the Westfield or Halliwell's Stand subject to changes in the ground configuration. Thus alleviating the need to enforce changes on the remainder of the John Street Stand in future seasons.

The existing season ticket holders affected by the new restrictions will be able to relocate to the remaining section of the John Street Stand, should seats become available. The Ticket Office will assist each supporter relocating to try and secure the best possible seats available.

Important Dates:

Current renewal discounted price deadline - 19th May.
New Season tickets will be on sale from - 20th May.
Season Ticket Holders deadline to claim their own seats - 10th June.
Relocation of John Street Season ticket holders - 11th June.
Season Tickets will be on general sale from 12th June.

The season ticket holders affected by the relocation from John Street will still qualify for the discounted rate on the 11th June and will have 1st choice on any seats not renewed by existing season ticket holders.

If any supporters have any further queries please do not hesitate to email [email protected]

I take it that is seat numbers, if so - in which direction - and why only those seats, why not the whole stand?

When it first re-opened, only the half closest the kop was a designated family enclosure.

So they may only be enforcing part of the stand? who knows. Probably moving the kids/families closer to the away end in order to stop the muppets getting close to the away fans.

Great idea, let the poor kids get abused by (some) away fans...

Would you rather the people wanting to cause hassle/give abuse were put there? i'm sure that would cause the away fans to give out a lot more abuse than families/kids would.

Can ya pay by direct debit - the whole amount out of your bank?
