Outgoing? John Lundstram

Palace home and Chelsea away didn't Freeman start though?

Well vs Palace he subbed for Fleck, but in both he played in Fleck’s place and position. Which was my point about which position Freeman is currently competing for. It’s not Lundstram’s. They are not directly competing for the same starting position.

Definitely wont be on 10k a week now, hes not had a new contract since he joined us in league 1 so the jump is already huge
You mean apart from all the promotion clauses he will have had in his contract like the other players.......he will definately be on way more than he was on in League 1 regardless of him not having a new contract yet.

I think there may be a factual inaccuracy here.

Anyone else heard the rumblings of Lunny wanting 60-65k a week in his new deal?
Watched the NBC stream for the Liverpool game. Pre match a British "journalist"/rumour monger said that Lundtram wanted three times his current wage. He said that meant circa £60k.

He didn't reveal his sources.

Obviously.

What do people think the rest of the squad is on?

I ask because I read that last year the lowest wage bill in the prem was £60m

Based on a 30 player squad that would be £38.5k a week on average.

My guess is that United won't be far behind that number when it gets published.

Players will have had automatic uplifts built into contracts and promotion bonuses etc.

In that context what he's asking for isn't too outrageous given he's been an ever present first team player.

Of our 30, the likes of Bryan and Holmes will be quite a bit lower I'd hope

I hope Bryan and Holmes earn less than me to be honest.

Yep. He's not better than Fleck or Norwood and more of a squad player for me because Besic, Freeman and a new signing will be given time in CM.

This.

I’m not a hater but he’s an average player with a good work rate and is easily replaceable, the fact he’s scored a few this season when we were struggling for goals has blinded most fans.

Its sick to obsess with what someone else earns or the Mickey mouse money laundering numbers agents apply to the billionaire owners value of PL players . Nowt to do with us.
Having said that this site puts lasts years salary range as $8.6m (Man U)-$1.3m(Cardiff) https://www.statista.com/statistics/675303/average-epl-salary-by-team/

Statistically the lowest salary gets relegated. So, to survive ,no overlapping CB's, just pay the salary to encourage the likes of Lundstram to spend all summer on gutbusting fitness...
