John Egan vs Walsall 2012

Can anyone actually remember Egan in his solitary performance on loan in his first ‘spell’?

Yes, I was there. If memory serves he played centre back alongside another debutant, Matt Hill, because of some crisis caused by red cards in the previous match. Can vaguely remember thinking that they were both ok at half time only for the second half to be an utter shambles.

Seem to remember Johnny Ertl being dreadful in that game.
Other memory is some poor bloke queueing 10 minutes for a pie at the bottom corner of the stand only to have it knocked out of his hand on the way back to his seat during warmup.

I was there ,it was a night match we had a drink in the club next to the ground , didnt Taylor also play in a real makeshift back four. I remember Egan being a lot thinner or not as well built as he is now ,and not being very good ,but I remember it mainly because of Matt Hill ,he actually played OK , maybe his best game for Utd because after that he was absolutely fucking dogshit.

Aye, in the previous game at home to Oldham Lowton and Maguire were sent off and Lescinel did his knee.

We had conceded an equaliser and shortly after Lowton, like a fucking pillock, got a second yellow card for a foul in the opposition penalty area. After that it was a disaster, they caught us on the break and Maguire got sent off for a last man foul. Kuqi scored the penalty and we lost.

With three defenders out, we cobbled together a team for the Walsall match and got hammered.

That foul by Lowton cost us six points and promotion.
