You are so right. When I met my wife, Annie, she had all his LPs and was her favourite singer.
Also when I walked my daughter up the aisle at her wedding she, unbeknown to me, had chosen this.

I'm one of those middle-aged blokes who pretends to still be hard, but during lockdown, this came on the radio and I cried.

Seriously, though, we've had players, owners, managers who we have genuinely loved, but this guy never knew us, never knew the club, never knew the city, yet we all sing a version of his song every week and probably will for another hundred years. Crazy, really

He died a really odd death. As an experienced pilot, he flew a plane with two fuel tanks and seemingly forgot to change over. Today's conspiracy theorists would havbe a birthday.

We don't talk about this man enough

I asked my mate what an all-time concert would be the best at BDTBL and he said Elvis. Good answer, but if you're choosing people who have passed....

There's always at least one 'UTB' comment ⚔️

Guess there’s no accounting for (lack of) taste
Only worse artiste(sic) / song (sic) I can think of is Mull of bastard kin- tucking- tyre
“mist rolling in “ my arse

I named my first daughter Annie, and it certainly brought a tear to my eye at the first home game after her birth when we blasted out the GCB song. We got promoted to the prem that season, so I consider her good luck when it comes to the Blades

I think there have been attempts to lengthen GCB but it would be good if someone could come up with a middle verse - maybe incorporating Club legends like Baldock, Booker, Currie, Deane etc. This would allow us to repeat GCB twice and hopefully get rid of the rushed ending. There must be some talented individual out there who could come up with something - preferably family friendly that everyone could join in with.
