He had a bad game today. Who didn't. But still one of our best players.

First goal was down to Basham( I think ) sliding in when he didn't have t and needlessly gave away the penalty. Whilst Brayford initially gave the ball away for the 2nd the marking and tracking go the goal scorer on our left was non existentPenalty after they got down our right hand side with him up the field.
Then a few mins later he fails to control a simple throw in, gives ball away, and 10 seconds later it's 0-2.
If only we had some competition for him to keep him on his toes.

It's not so much that Brayford has lost pace he's been put on the back foot too often because teams are finding too much room down our right side, any defender left exposed to a good attacking player will be in trouble and in any case his main strengths are going forward ((wing back) but we are finding it difficult to use his strengths as the balance in the team is not there. One thing for sure and it shows in every game home and away!! is our lack of pace it's a problem in every area of the pitch , every manager we have had (Wilson ,weir, clough )never gotBrayford looks like he has lost some pace after his injury - which means he cant run that line as quickly, hence us being exploited down that side.
In view of his wages I think we will have to sell him to the highest bidder ( 500k ?) and cut our lossesUnfortunately he's our most saleable player and Adkins didn't sign him. So don't expect him here next season.

ideally you are right but will the fall out between the Board and the Prince( despite what Phipps says there is a fall out and Phipps/Green are running the club at the moment...source: chairman of a local football club) i think decisions like this will be made as i fear there will be no investment until the dispute is resolvedThat's all well and good in a logical world, but the odds of us replacing him adequately are so slim I wouldn't dream of selling him.
