I got my phone bill recently and whilst I don't mind that much paying for the call duration when purchasing tickets (even though there is a booking fee to cover the envelope and postage added anyway) I strongly object to be charged between 18-22 pence for every time I get a "sorry - all agents are busy" message on the premium rate ticket line I have to use.
Being an exile I cannot get down to the Lane easily and I cannot use the fact that I have 2 Blades Super Draw tickets on the web site - so I have no choice but to call on the phone. I get to as many games as I can but I can never amass the same points as a season ticket holder so I rely on my super draw tickets to get as far as I can in the preference queue.
So to the damage - I have over 100 entries for busy calls on my phone bill to the ticket office number which comes to around £23 plus VAT. Then there's the call to actually purchase the tickets that was £4.87 plus VAT.
Linz any advice on how to protest about this cos paying over £30 for repeatedly dialing in to get tickets is a bit of a piss take
I think it's something Jim Phipps should be aware of - appreciate he will not action it personally but if there is going to be some sort of resolution to this then it has to be at a club policy level and not at the coal face.
