I'm not particularly coming for anyone who has already posted on this thread. But, how depressing. People trafficking players, using "Ooooohhhh aren't we clever" small print in the regulations.
Shifting them on if it doesn't work, as it's a one in some large number chance that he'll be good enough anyway. But, don't worry, we won't lose money during this slave trade, so that's alright then. Thoroughly depressing that this is what "we've" become.

While kids in the Academy, born up Meadowhead, are looking at the Teamsheets pinned up and thinking - what's fucking happening here?

Partner Clubs? Is that the shit what is down for us?

Don't forget the second hand financing of the Russia/Ukraine conflict by paying someone sanctioned by Ukraine and Bulgaria as a career criminal. Glad our club paid that guy hand over fist to buy... players that could be related to the Human Trafficking crisis.

Soon as I dug into that, my goodwill towards the owners and the "AI" model (Which coincidentally looks just like many other shady clubs 'models' for young African players) looked very much like laundering assets and money towards questionable individuals, or with Polendakov, our own board members via his other clubs. Depressing doesn't cover it.

There's some people you wish would have disappeared when the prince left
Too right. He had a taste of relevance during the Prince's stay, indeed often flounced that he was winding down his social media presence because he received grief...and now it's like he can't get enough, he has to feel relevant, even though he has no ties or connection into the club. It's weird and a bit sad.

He'll be fine. He'll be able to afford a nice house in Edinburgh, and will get more game time with them. GLTTL

This is what I was saying the other day, when folk were acting like he was being shipped off to a Gulag against his will.

He will have a nice life up there. Maybe colder and wetter than he was expecting for a few months a year, and he will get kicked about a bit on the pitch for a while, but still not a hardship and he is on a path to develop now.

There are also a couple of very big clubs in Scotland and a few more who are decent sized, who might take a punt on this young Peruvian lad if he does well. It's in his hands.

Depends if the Germans in the basement have overstated his ability but the entire Dunfermline Squad is down as being worth 3.5m and our Jeff makes up 1m of it!

I’m sure there’ll be a curious case of Jefferson Caceres article in their local paper in about 5 years time!

Indeed, if he's decent up there he might be playing in the champions league in a couple of seasons. We can't offer him that.

So, let me get this straight.

  • Sheffield United signed Christian Nwachukwu for a reported £1 million + from Botev Plovdiv
  • Botev Plovdiv is owned by a Russian Oligarch, Anton Zingarevich
  • Anton Zingarevich is sanctioned by Ukraine due to ties with Russia
  • Anton Zingarevich has been banned from entering Bulgaria for 10 years by their security services
  • FDC Vista, in the Russian lower leagues, signed 16 year old Africans from academies in Ghana and Nigeria
  • When they turned 18, they were sold Danish club Fremad Amager
  • Fremad Amager were owned by Anton Zingarevich
  • FDC Vista lost their licence to operate as a football club due to allegations of human trafficking
  • Christian Nwachukwu joined FDC Vista at the age of 17, before being sold to Botev Plvdiv
  • Christian Nwachukwu was identified by a data AI company owned by James Bord
  • James Bord has no official connection to Sheffield United but is friends with the owners
  • Another young player from a continent known for football trafficking (Jefferson Canceres) is bought (again for around £1 million) using James Bord's analytical company
  • After a few months at Sheffield United he is sold to Dunfermline, a Scottish championship club, for an undisclosed fee

If this lot doesn't set off countless red flags I do not know what does.

Caceres may not have worked out but don't worry, Christian Nwachukwu will save our season. He has looked the business in the many games he has played for us.

Until the fantasy soccer tech bros have a drug and booze-fuelled beach party and decide they want to sign a Chinese player, so he'll be shipped to Dunfermline for £1000.

"Do I get a signing on fee?"

"You'll be lucky to keep half your wages. Now hand over your passport. We'll look after that."

Don't see the link sorry
Buying a Peruvian who has no chance of making it at our level and then practically giving him away
To a far lower level club just to get in another player who may never make it at this level is a lot of things but it's not human trafficking

As ever I despair at the need to create and invent new scenarios to be hysterical about
There is plenty of bad stuff at the club to get your teeth into I don't understand why we need to look into the Grays sports almanac and predict a dystopian future where AI has replaced mankind and giant ants roam the earth
