No matter which way you look at this, this is a crazy situation.

Does our AI Guru also work for Dunfermaline?

What on earth did Dunfermaline see in Jeff to sign him permanently?

Weird stuff is going on with this AI program!

By the sounds of it the AI company Bord owns recommended this player, Russo stumped up the money to sign him, he turned out to be bobbins so we’ve forced Bord to take him to one of his clubs. I’m surprised he didn’t go to Cordoba TBH.

Hopefully we’ll have reduced use of shortcircuit.science going forward.

I don't remember this outrage when Barry Hayles got binned off. The alternative is to become a Colin Cryan or Tyrone Thompson and play in the reserves for years.
Wilder was lauded for binning off failed signings quickly.

People seem to be treating Caceres in the same way as CN based on the trafficking article.

Don’t pretend to like the ‘treating players like meat’ aspect.

Longer term I fear a little for clubs and transfer markets.

At some point some obscure player is going to challenge and say “why can’t I move jobs when I want and to whom I want? Why does my employer need to get compensated or I don’t move?”

By the way, hope the difference is coming out of James Bord’s pocket. In what world by the way do you but a 22 year old development player? 18, 19, I get, but 22? It’s the age at which we’re letting them go when they haven’t made the first team.

I can’t see players being able to resign being good for the majority of players. Surely that would mean that clubs could sack a poor performing player?

For every top player that would resign and sign for Man City, there would be a load of average players being sacked because clubs don’t want to pay big wages to an injured or poor player.

Most of Brightons AI youngsters same as Jefferson , we dont hear about them. And they sign loads . Its a learning curve for us.
The normally have a plan for them though, they get loaned out a couple of times and then normally sold for a few quid. They'll still make a loss, but not as much as the way we've gone about it here.

Shit for the player and shit for the club.

But. Not everyone wants the Brighton Model. I certainly don't. It sounds thoroughly depressing and I can't really think that's what running a football club should be about. Like a marketplace, like Monopoly, like Pork Belly Futures.

One Day, all this fuckerbouting will end. Clubs will buy players. Clubs will develop players. Clubs will play players. Clubs will Club.
I don’t disagree Phil, but I’m sorry to say that time has been and gone.

I’m seriously considering going to non league games instead, I feel so disconnected from “professional” football

Every time I visit Sheffield, I think I'd like to live there. Like anyone else, i never go to the city centre (same in most cities, internet has caused irrevocable damage).
The city centre used to be thriving. Good shops, busy. The moor end is trying and I actually don’t mind the new markets (deans butchers are excellent) but the area where I work, the council and police have given up, it really isn’t safe.

Meadowhall might be a monochrome experience, but it’s far better than the city centre, it grieves me to say that

Where is the red light zone now? ;)

I used to go and view an auction on a Friday night on Scotland Street and it was snided with them. Great if Prisoner Cell Block H is your thing…
Back in the old days when I worked shifts they used to routinely cadge fags off me. I turned down the offer of a BJ in exchange once. Think Prisoner Cell Block Z

I think you failed English Literature, as the Ultimate Question is deliberately wrong.

(That said I got it wrong too, I think it's actually 6x9).
It is English literature not English Literature . It should be ultímate question not Ultimate Question.
As the answer was 42 how can you suggest 6x9

Firstly the course is definitely English Literature.

Secondly, 6x9 is the Ultimate Question and the answer is 42. That's what's in the book. It's Douglas Adams' little joke.

If he didn't want to/choose to leave (as if his right) it would have put us in a very difficult position.

We should be grateful to an extent that he agreed to move on.
