Massive frustrations on tonight’s game aside, a decent cameo from Jebbo and arguably his best shift since coming back from Burton.

I’m not saying the lad should start in the league, and ideally we wouldn’t need him off the bench either, but can’t fault his effort tonight. Pressed well, looked a handful and was livelier than Billy.

Just think he needs to work on judging the flight of the ball better when jumping for headers. We’re desperate for another striker given the injuries and over reliance on Ndiaye and Billy, but Jebbo is worth a start at Millwall in the Cup.

Some signs of promise from the lad tonight.

His best shift in a blades shirt, which isn’t a high bar to be fair to him

A lot of others looked to be playing within themselves tonight

He is a very good player with a massive future ahead of him, yes he’s abit raw but I feel he gets a bum deal off a lot of fans because he’s not starting and scoring, i think the time is right let loose and start him for a run of games. Very good cameo tonight and he could be the striker everyone wants in the jtw, I believe he is good enough.

Decent cameo. Would imagine he’ll start against Millwall. If he plays well and Mcburnie still isn’t fit, then I’d start him against Stoke

I would 100% start him before Billy. Thought this before KO

Impressive substitute performance. Probably made the difference going forward. If only he could do it consistently.

Great to see him showing some promise again. Maybe benefited from a run of substitute appearances? Hope he can keep this up now

Showed some tenacity and upper body strength. Just needs the guile to go with it now.

There is a reason he has been kept with the first team Osula has been sent on loan and khadra is seemingly now behind him in the pecking order.

It must be seen in training.

Think khadra may well be going somewhere else on loan which is a bit of a shame. I think he can offer something.
Having said that management must have their reasons.

If we have a good window I'm hoping or expecting that the most activity we see is khadra out and someone else in on loan.

Should be starting. Billy's too slow, falls down too much but manages a tap in once in a blue moon that keeps his fan base happy. That chip today was piss easy but he lofted it over the bar, the back pass to their keeper when clear through was another golden chance blobbed, and he misses way more than he scores.

Time for change, you can't keep starting him just because 'he's one of our own'.

He did ok for the time he was on against a tired defence. He just needs time to put on some weight and get stronger. He would benefit from another loan like Asula

Some good news then amid all the doom and gloom. Recorded the match, not yet watched it but from the comments on here it sounds like a video nasty

Certainly an improvement but let's face it, that wasn't difficult to achieve bearing in mind how shocking his other bench appearances have been. Definitely start him on Saturday in the Cup.

I’m not sure I feel about this entirely because when it comes down to it we’d all rather have some short term immediate gain and less worry than is necessary.

However, if the model is to be self-sustainable or self-financing within a budget, don’t you persevere and give minutes to Jebbo right now?

We have to develop players and improve their value. How do we do that other than have them play games to increase their value and development? Now I really think a full season of Burton was best for him last season but needs must and that ship has sailed. I’m not sure more League One helps him. He’s been there and done that.

It was notable that yesterday he had a positive impact. Maybe the next 20 minutes, or even full game sees even greater growth.

Maybe what we are seeing before our eyes is what a self-sufficient club looks like? McBurnie out for a few games, Brewster sidelined, then we take the opportunity to give minutes to Jebbison rather than blood some youngster from Villa or wherever.

This might mean we gain a few points less overall perhaps but no player comes with guarantees and it may well be in the best long term interest of the club.

Just some food for thought. I like the fact Hecky was comfortable to throw him on and that he played well and he’s been able to rest McBurnie since the return and still take 13/15 points. That’s a pretty good outcome.
