CONFIRMED Jebbison to Bournemouth

Plenty of fault on the Blades side here. I don’t know anything about the blood test issue, but in Jan 22 we recalled him early from a loan at Burton that was going very well, because we had no fit strikers at the club.
If you ask me, that really hit his development as a young player, and his career has basically stalled since that moment. Hoping he can resurrect it, but if I was Bournemouth I’d be loaning him out to L1/Champ and see if he can get things going again with fresh start.

If you are buying a 31 year old you might give a shit about what someone has done. If you are buying a 21 year old, you don't give a shit, and are only concerned about what they could do. Seriously, there's some people here who'd go to buy a new car and then walk out because they can't get one with 50k miles on the clock and a full service history

Quick look on whoscored indicates that Jebbison made the grand total of one start and played less than four hours of league football that season. If we had no fit strikers, I would kind of expected that to be ever so slightly higher

As FtT says, that's not a great fee for a young international striker (regardless of how his ability is viewed by a lot of people on here, myself included) and I hope the deal is boosted with performance related add-ons.

Tbh at this stage he could turn out to be anything - from another Jordan Slew to a £40m player. I suppose £1.5m is not a bad gamble from B'mouth's perspective and it's not the first time they taken such a punt on a player.

When people say what should our aim be in 5 years time. I would quite like to say we are a club like this, that can afford to take gambles on raw talent and be a mid to lower Premier League side, but then I would also like to win the Euromillions

Saw him today against Rayo Vallecano; thought he was toss. Barely touched the ball, didn't do much when he did. The one time he actually got a touch, he assisted the only goal but it was awful defending. Their other strikers looked so much better, can't see him playing much this season.

Honestly, and I really don’t mean this as a jibe to the lad, but I really don’t get what Jebbison has that makes others see potential. IMO he doesn’t have a single attribute that makes him really ‘stand out’ physically or technically from anyone else. He’s alright at pretty much everything, but not particularly good at anything.

I really hope he goes on to completely prove me wrong & end up as a premier league striker for the rest of his career, but if I were a betting man I’d be lumping on him ending up in league 1 or lower pretty soon.

I reckon Jebbo has been fit since the end of last season.

I suspect when Wilder realised that despite all his efforts Jebbo wasn't going to sign a new deal (and made him look a tit with that 48 - 72 hour comment in that press conference) that he probably just froze him out of the squad.

no it didnt , hes young and hes joined bouremouth and they are loaning him out

its all part of being a fringe player, if he was good enough to start hed be starting , but hes yet to force his way into any first team squad

when he came back from Burton it showed he wasnt ready got it
