CONFIRMED Jebbison to Bournemouth

A victim of our inability to manage injuries in more ways than one, firstly because he was brought back from loan before he should have been, then wasn’t loaned out again due to being deemed as one of our preference strikers.

He also wasn’t ’fixed’ correctly by our medical team and suffered as a result.

Seems to me he’s quite bitter about it all and it’s beneficial for both parties that he moves on. He’s obviously been agitating for a while and has finally got what he wanted.

Hopefully we have managed to include a similar sell on clause
If he’s out of contract then it won’t be a traditional ‘transfer’ in the sense that we don’t own his registration anymore. In that instance I’m not sure we can negotiate any kind of clause in the deal.

The money changing hands is in lieu of the tribunal compensation and I assume Bournemouth have opted to do this in order to quicken the process and remove the need for a tribunal.

Get rid move on wish him well hope he fulfills his potential that he never showed with us for whatever reason

If we get the £1.5m upfront it will very much help with cashflow. As you can see with the loans, sometimes it's better to have money to use rather than wait for more.

Plus I'd imagine we've been able to structure some decent add-ons.

I dont know this for a fact but I very much doubt there are sell-on fees included in compensation deals for OOC young players

He did show it for us, bear in mind he only started 9 games for us. Was the youngest ever scoring in the premier league on their first start aged 17 (not sure if that record still stands)

Was miles ahead of Osula and others his age group. Had a few injury’s which was always going to happen with his thin gangly teenage body, then the blood clot. But if people cannot see the promise he showed and what he can become with natural progression and body changes all because he wasn’t rifling goals in left right and centre then I’m lost for words.

If the tribunal would ask them for more than £1.5m then why have we accepted it?!
Have you ever negotiated anything?
The buyer and the seller do not know what is the likely outcome of the tribunal and subsequently they both make an educated guess and arrive at what they consider to be a suitable compromise. Hopefully from our point of view this includes a sell on similar to other tribunal decisions, but we do not know and doubt it will be made public

Thanks for the condescending message, you obviously know better than me and I’ll stop questioning what has happened.

If he doesn't want to play for us after we have brought him through the a academy and spent a lot of time and resource coaching the lad, and then CW has spent a lot of time trying to get him to sign a lucrative new deal after he has just spent all last season sat on the sidelines (yes we can debate all day about who may have been at fault for that period of inactivity), then quite frankly I couldn't give a shiny shit about the lad and his future. I'm indifferent to the lad and he is (quite rightly I suppose) purely mercenary. That's his right of course, just as its my right as a fan of SUFC to think bollocks to him.

Can't say he was up there with my favourite Blades and he always looked like be had the weight of the world on his young shoulders. Not our problem now. Bon voyage Daniel, you miserable sod.

I take it that you are glad he's gone 😉

OED ?

You are, of course, assuming that the deal you say was "lucrative", which I'm guessing is not the case. Probably not even the case on the Blades scale of lucrative.

You can negotiate anything if both parties agree
El accounts says the £1.5m is just the upfront fee. There is add-ons plus as he puts it a chunky sell on clause.

Here’s hoping the lad smashes it as it will only benefit us in the long term.

He's going to be either another Calvert Lewin or Jordan Slew. I feel he has the ability to progress but will he. Don't think going to a perennial Premier League struggler will benefit his progress. I hope for his sake he does great, and for ours if he moves on, but not sure Bournemouth is the move he needs. He'll be loaned out by August, probably the Championship, and we'll get a sense of what we are missing or what we are lucky to have dodged a bullet.

Agree, we've totally mishandled the situation. I'm not saying that's deliberate, more force of hand in the circumstances. We couldn't afford to get another striker in, so we kept him around. He would've played this last season too, if fit.

With hindsight, we should've brought in a cheap journeyman type, to get us up - a Hanson or Madine and sent him back out on loan.

Apart from 'looking the part' and a 5yd tap in that I would have scored , can anyone explain what he has done to deserve a lucrative contract at a side that is strapped for cash.

We've taken a gamble on Osula and thst will do for me, especially with Marsh and One coming through. I dont think he ever had any intention of signing a contract so I'm happy we've got 1.5m in the bank

I think Jebbison likes the idea of being a footballer. He’s got all the fancy tatts like some of them have.

He’s yet to prove anything other than he was a competent League One player a few years ago.

Whether he can be fit and be consistent day in day out is a question. Don’t see where he gets the game time he needs to Bournemouth and a loan to the Championship puts him in no better place than remaining with us.

Feels like he’s fluffed his lines a few times already.

Daft sending off at Wrexham cost him some game time and his injuries have deprived him of periods when he’d have been certain to get minutes.
