The article in the star regarding Barnsleys new signing is hilarious. No journalist name attached. Maybe the star are now so desperate they publish articles by a 12 year remedial from Penistone.

I think he seems OK to be honest, from reading his Twitter as well. We'd be lapping it up if he signed for us. And fair play to him for choosing first team football, that's the only reason he would've chosen them over us. Although I do think he would've ended up a regular for us. But not guaranteed like it is at Barnsley. And they're a good development club.


This bit of the interview caught my attention:

He added: “I’m a player who works hard and covers a lot of distances.

“I backed myself last season in League One, and the season before in League Two, to outrun any player.

“I don’t think many players can match my work rate and I know that sounds really basic, but the fans will get to see that when I play.”


Basic, but significant. I thought he looked like a good all round athlete, and that athleticism will take him a long way.

Great signing for Barnsley IMO. 200k (if so) is ridiculously cheap.
