I know its only October however im sure talks behind the scene are taking place.

2 questions for me

1) What sort of budget do we think will be available? I assume it depends on where we are in the league and if promotion is looking likely.
2) What positions do we need to focus on?

For me I think the prince will find funds if we look strong for going up, 2 a new starting CM is a priority to play alongside Doyle is the only obvious one for me

Of course if the right player becomes available on the right terms we would be daft not to pursue it

If we are confident that the signing of another Anel, I.e. someone who we can cash in at a profit we will buy.

I doubt there will be any money unless we sell. I guess there might be a loan or maybe two if one goes back.

Too much budget being paid for injured players.

Can't keep forking out huge sums for people who aren't fit to play.

Not apportioning blame in any direction (despite being concerned at how long it's gone on) but it's only injuries that will stop us getting promoted imho.

Not just missing players, but the workloads others will do aa a result.

It's hard to justify signing anyone.
We have great squad depth, we've just got an extraordinary ability to burn through it with injuries.

The only area where I see a real weak spot is Egan's and possibly Norwood's.
If either of those two got injured then I don't see a ready-made replacement.

Our hand may be forced by sales or further injuries but provided we somehow(!!!) manage to avoid any between now & the World Cup break we should have a lot of returnees available for the second half of the season.

Surely we’re already spending the max budget. Why would he hold anything back.

So I agree purchases are based on sales.

Also we’ve been a well run club to date so I doubt the owner will do a Derby and over spend gambling everything on promotion.

Surely the club existence is the most important and also we should stick to the Profit and Sustainability rules and not cheat.

Upfront. Sign Coventry striker Viktor Geeorekeresesees, worry about money after

Can understand the sentiment, sometimes clubs gamble spending money they don’t have and it pays off.

However it’s this overspending at any cost attitude that’s killing the game we love.

If fans ran football clubs 50% would go out of business.

If it comes down to it, I'd sell sander and keep ndiaye.

Sander berge has yet to prove it as far as I am concerned.

We need a decent keeper too.

I've loved wes's calmness. He's a bit short though, and looking a jot more panicky.

100% - Sander is just not consistent enough and/or maybe just takes him so long to get back to full match fitness after injury. But is too prone to injury.

Wes wasn’t great tonight but has been fantastic for most of the last year so let’s hope it’s a one off

would agree with you there anything near to 20m and he can go for me and use the money for a goalscoring midfielder and another striker even if its only loans maybe with a view to buy
