January Transfer Window

I understand and yeah it is frustrating, but if other clubs are trying to muscle in on the transfers then the parent clubs are going to string it out to the highest bidder, as you would do.

I mean the last rumour is we want a loan with option to buy sunderland want obligated, maybe that's what's holding up this one.

But it would be nice for us to conduct business early for a change though, wilder said we should have players in before Norwich game so we have a week, after that then fans should start to get up on as that's a deadline he's given really.

The frustration is also that the longer these deals drag on the longer it us until these players will be match fit. Neither is playing so you can probably write off the first couple of games after they sign. Automatic promotion looks like being fine margins.

If Carlsberg did transfer windows...especially Keane....that would be as good as it gets for a Souttar replacement!

Out of all the CB's we've seen linked, Keane has the most experience which would be good at both Championship and Premier League.

I'm starting to think no one in for Saturday or if they do then they wont able to play on Saturday etc. Usually the media come out with the usual medical on the way etc. it's rare a signing happens without multiple sources saying it's very close.

At least on the plus side we have players back for Saturday.

You can imagine it that way if you want, and to a great extent I would agree with you. Spike Milligan also said, ‘patience was invented by dull buggers who couldn’t think quick enough’.

It’s a dull process and younger elements of the fan base are getting restless. Needlessly in my opinion.

Souttar won't be , which makes it all the more surprising that the media noise is less for a CB than for MF & striker.

We currently can't name a substitute CB which is a vulnerable position to be in.

Would have thought we definitely need a permanent CB , whether going for promotion or not.

Robbo getting older & RND fading away.
Anel is our only permanent CB at the right age/quality.

Whilst we do need a striker plus BBD & cover for Souza (Choudhury) ,

the need for a CB is paramount and should be a permanent , which is tied.up before Saturday.

Get an injury and we're fucked at CB , despite having Alfie he's not tall enough and we lack height generally.

FFS Blades , go out and buy a minimum 6'3" CB to replace Souttar or you're not serious about promotion.

Sorry for the rant but this is a player we've known needed replacing since Boxing Day.

I'd say getting the right CB this window is more important than having one before Saturday. Loan or purchase.
