Not sure I’d want Dunne if he’s going to fanny about trying to get a player sent off like he just has.
That wasn't great from him, but people say we could do with more shithousery....

Great trolling of his marker after the goal. That was funny

He's also got a good discipline record - only 6 yellow cards in 25 games. That's probably the most important thing of this kind to focus on. We could do with a CB who doesn't miss games. Anel and Robinson both have their absences

1x PL
1x Championship

🤷‍♂️
Predictions
Premier league: BBD, with how much it's being talked about it's got to be him.

Championship: Emil Riis Jacobson: his contract situation at Preston is being talked about again, might be on his way out?

I do find it odd that Sunderland can loan a £20 million player from Italy, Burnley and Blackburn can sign players and here we are again, 11 days in, with 'two done deals' that we haven't managed to sign yet.

New owners, same old story. This really needs to be addressed because the delay will likely cost us, both in terms of points and the fitness of other players.

It doesn't sound like we're in for a CF.
Wilder suggested 3 targets, CB - "replacement for Souttar," a CM - "someone with legs & a bit of bite" & "someone along the top line."
We more or less know the top targets for the latter two are Choudhury and BBD but know less on the CB.

I hope we go for 5/6 as I think it'll be needed but it's sounding like 3.

The Preston fan at work says Riis doesn’t celebrate when he scores and likes to score by running in behind.

Our fans would hate him unless he kissed the badge and I can’t remember us scoring many where we exploit a high line.

Most teams in chamionship set up deep with banks of players inside own half against us especially at BDTBL, so you won't remember us scoring many exploiting high line... even burnley used this tactic.

Why do you hate Sheffield united Houston.?

Sunderland only got him as he played under their manager at his previous club, where he was playing his best football to get his £20m move to roma.

No one else had a chance, and will have been lined up months ago no doubt, with roma no doubt happy to sign off straight away.

Absolutely mental signing for them in this league.

And makes us needing strong recruitment and improving the starting 11 even more.

How does that post indicate a hate for the club? I think we have our shortcomings and I don’t wear Blades tinted specs and declare anyone with an opposition view to me a ‘pig’ or ‘fanny’ but certainly don’t hate the club.

Why do you watch most pig games?

Less about why he signed for Sunderland, more about how they can do that quicker than us with two players our manager has managed before!

Hamer scored from running in behind in our last league game.

Brooks nearly did too.

Correct, that was around the edge of the box though, the Preston fan mentioned he likes a run in behind a high line.

I can see the type of goal I mean in my head, Ndiaye scored a few, we don’t seem to score many now though. We go a lot more intricate and look for passes or crosses around the edge of the box and closer.

I know, it’s shit but we did it most weeks last season so I shouldn’t complain. I wasn’t saying it as a negative, I was merely stating that if that’s the type of player he is then he’s not much good to us.

Like I mentioned in my long rambled post... they probably had him lined up months ago, with roma happy to let him go soon as and with it been just a straight loan.

Clearly our deals are more complex with apparently loan to buys etc so will take longer and also depends on the parent clubs signing off and or agents.

Why do you assume it's united's fault?

Because this has happened regularly with our transfers over a number of years?

I agree we are usually slow with transfer but we dont know ow the ins and outs.

Could be a load of things. If it is the club dragging heels then agree 100% needs addressing but I can't see a buying club slow timing their top targets.

And I ain't having ago, I realised my post may have come across passive aggressive, which it wasn't intended.

It's just an ongoing frustration that everything takes so long with us.

If they're loan to buys contingent on promotion then I'm not sure why Saints or Leicester would want that or let the transfer go through until deadline day. It doesn't help that we keep being don't confidently that transfers should be done by x date and they rarely are.

We are very slow to get any business done and it’s been this way for a fair few years… this time it will bite us in the arse

I understand and yeah it is frustrating, but if other clubs are trying to muscle in on the transfers then the parent clubs are going to string it out to the highest bidder, as you would do.

I mean the last rumour is we want a loan with option to buy sunderland want obligated, maybe that's what's holding up this one.

But it would be nice for us to conduct business early for a change though, wilder said we should have players in before Norwich game so we have a week, after that then fans should start to get up on as that's a deadline he's given really.
