Should we be concerned that bids will be placed for the likes of JOC in Jan? Could be interesting times ahead...

Egan, JOC, Baldock, Lundstram, Fleck....... all of those could attract high bids in January. The only reason I haven't included Bash, Stevens, Norwood and McG is because their ages may, may put other clubs off. But even as I type that I realise that I am talking bollocks.

What a team 😍 😍 😍

As I’ve always said, get the proper value for the player and it’s all good, everybody has a price, let’s just get it right ...

Can’t see the regular first teamers wanting out to sit on another clubs bench..

Thing is, we haven't got 'Sell 'em Cheap McCabe' any more.

"Hi, Brighton Manager. Jack O'Connell? Ten Bensons and a Dick Kryzwicki football card? You'll have to do better than that. Oh, and a copy of March 1980 Fiesta? Hmmm. Okay. Done."

"Jack, get your bags packed."

Well at least I don't think Celtic will be coming back with their joke bid of was it 1 million for Baldock.

To be fair the March 1980 issue of Fiesta was a classic especially with Maureen from Basingstoke in the Readers wife's section.
According to my mate of course.

It was considered 'a classic' to be honest. The cover girl looked like Teena Marie, and inside, plenty of 'flying kite' artwork, some absolutely epic letters and as you say, the fragrant Maureen from Basingstoke with her veiny chebs incomplete dental array, latch-eye, hairy cleft and worryingly spotty arse-cheeks. 'Regina' was also in there, but she looked like she needed a McMeal and some decent brown. And she looked like she whiffed a bit ... down there, which also seemed like she'd shaved it with a letter opener. But Slug was epic and you could buy a Buck-Ram Stimulus Kit (with Dual Vibrating Heads) in the classifieds.

So it made up the difference for JO'C and his assumed worth. To McCabe.

They all fit ‘our’ system, they all know the club intimately and they are all flourishing in this set up.

It may be better the devil you know, they will all be handsomely rewarded for staying up as well and they all love wilder!

it’ll take crazy figures to prise them away, do you think Lord Chris would squander the money, if any of them left? He’s probably already planned a contingency...

We may well see what the prince is made of in these next two transfer windows, can he resist selling if we get good offers and can we add to the group ,at least get some game changers on the bench.

We are one 'shit off a shovel' forward away from being a comfortable prem side. We are solid as fook at the back and defensive midfield. Imagine having 2 mousset types running at you!

I could see Tufty and co doing to lower league clubs what prem sides did to us when we were down there. Gamble (although it's hardly a gamble with the money you get in the prem) on 3 or 4 young and raw gangly striker types from league 1 and 2. Chuck a couple of mill here and there and that should do the trick.

Karlan Grant? Scored a decent number of goals in an atrocious Huddersfield team and he's still only 22

If our backline keeps up their incredible form sadly there is no doubt that all of them will become very noticeable to the top 6 , if they have not already

its the boards job to tell these clubs to p#ss off !

He may need to sell in order to pay for a hotel and business centre together with one or two other associated properties ;)

I thought Carragher nailed it last night. If a newly promoted team is exceptional in one area, in our case the defence, you don’t worry too much about the lack of goals at this stage because the defence will probably keep you up. But I think we will add goals in January, I agree that we will spend again.

Good call. But I think he falls more into the Callum Robinson type category now that he been playing and scoring regularly at Championship level. It may take £5-8m to get him. I'm thinking the unpolished diamonds knocking around at £1m ish a throw ..... possibly like Grant was 1 year ago.

I think they'll all stay with us as long as we're in the Premier League and as long as Wilder's here.

Which would put us in a superb position to build a quality side as we could focus the spending entirely in attacking areas.

New contracts for Christmas for them all. I'm probably being overly romantic and extremely naive but I'd like to think that they'd all want to stay and see at least a season through with us given that they've all grown with the club.

At the risk of being a bed-wetter, I do see Citeh and their lack of CB resource and the likes of JOC and Egan as ball playing CBs and am hoping I'm putting 2 and 2 together and making 8... Plus left footed CBs are a very rare commodity....

As others have said though, if we get Maguire-esque money then I'd trust Tufty to move us forward with that money in the same way selling Adam's got us out of league 1 and selling Brooks got us out of the championship!

I think the issue for others might be they look excellent in our system but no one else plays like us. We’re a good example of being better than the sum of the parts so that may well put off the very biggest clubs.
Could well be wrong of course in which case if they do go we need to squeeze every last penny from the deal.
