15 games, 0 goals last season.

43 games, 8 goals season before. That's actually not a bad return for a winger.

Do we think we could tempt Darius Henderson back if being a slimy agent isn't working out for him?

Wasn't Peter Crouch training with us other week? Training with us means nowt.
Sure was, I got a photo of it too

If this gets over the line it will be because CW sees a role for him in the squad. Loving CW's open-minded approach and respect his opinions
For me, I am happy to wait and see what unfolds.

I'd rather we took a chance on a lower league younger talent than an injury plagued 32 year old

Hamstrings tighter than guitar strings...would have to be a pay per game type contract to even consider him.

He's a reight player. Probably in the form of his life. Would be really impressed if he signed up with us. Would make me really happy.

I love Jamie Ward - I want you back and a I want to bare your dwarfish like babies (I may need a slight operation beforehand though Jamie)

I can see him being our all time top scorer and another international spell beckons.

Oh I love the man, the myth and the monster :D

So, are we really signing him like or are folk just winding me up ?

You can file this with fucking Nugent.

I can hear

of his hammy from here.

And they were over-rated too.

One for the unpopular opinion thread but I liked ward.

Under a better manager than Blackwell we’d have got more out of him - he’s played in the championship and gone to the euros since leaving us hasn’t he?

I’d take him as an option in the squad tbh. We don’t have any players with his skill set imo.
Have to agree. I really liked him he had a lovely nasty streak in him.

Not sure it would be a starting 11 signing anyway but would be happy for him to be here and called upon when needed.

Considering how many people on here (and elsewhere) regularly state how much they love CW, what a fantastic job he's doing and how they trust him implicitly, there's an awful lot of people questioning his judgement on players. Firstly, McGoldrick (past it, injury prone, not prolific), more recently Nugent (too old, maybe 10 years ago, past it) and now Ward (see previous 55 posts).

FFS just let him get on with putting his squad together and support whoever he deems good enough to play for his side. There have of course been a few signings that didn't work out but he success ratio must be up there with the best in all 4 divs, especially when budgetary constraints are considered.
