one of the best midfield players in this divsion when fit.
A player who we have missed but unable to play as he has been unfit.
Better than Hammond and was already here

Why is he not fit enough for us yet capable of playing 90 minutes for Shrewsbury today as they beat the league leaders at home, something is wrong with our football club.

If he proves his fitness, then let's have him back, but too much of a risk at the moment BB.

Because we might risk finding a decent player in him? Not sure what the risk is over playing him instead of an expensive loanee in his 30's from a pl club

We know he's a decent player Swiss, but he needs to prove he can last longer than 3/4 games before another niggle consigns him to the sidelines.

Yes let's rely on James Wallace maybe, hopefully, possibly, staying match fit.... #gamechanging investment

So whilst we have nothing to play for this year, why not stick him in our side?

We've apparently strengthened in the midfield, when there were so many other positions which were priority. We've actually got a lot of central midfielders and we end up loaning an over the hill one... Makes little sense.

for me its a case of using what we have. not bringing in further shit players on loan

We should not have to do either, 19,000 in the ground again today and supposedly a member of the worlds richest family as our co-owner and we are desperately scratching around with the likes of Wallace, Woolford and Hammomd

Daft as it may sound Swiss, we still do have something to play for, unlikely as it is looking at the moment. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see JW pulling the strings in midfield, but the injury thing nags. Your right about the over the hill midfielder though.

90 minutes is good to hear. Let's wait and see if he plays again before March. Then we can get our hopes up.

Thing is that over the hill Midfielder is the first name on the team sheet and will be dropped for no man. Like it or not it's a fact.

On his departure, JW said he's been fit for about 3 months or so and the reason he wasn't getting on the pitch was simply because NA didn't pick him

I said it way back in October and until Coventry i'd seen nothing to change that. I've not seen a game since so can't comment beyond Cov.

However, it was very clear that what we needed was to remove question marks from over the heads of players and give them games at the lane to see whether they hold up because of fitness or ability. i'd have given every last one of them until the summer to prove their worth. Not financially. many will gather that i find the money side irrelevant as a fan.

Get them earning their contract. If they are such honest and hard working players they would either show up or ship out. They'd be paid up at the end of the summer if they didn't measure up.

So James Wallace goes away and has the time of his life, no pressure, no stress, away from his parent club. What then when he comes back? Hammond is here...

Its perhaps a badly put across point but i feel that bringing in loanees is just not going to work this year. The club have made no effort to strengthen, just to tread water

Why wouldn't they? Surely they've seen us this season...

Yes but if there is belief within the club one look at the table (and they are correct) says promotion isn't out of the question.

I think the issues we have right now are more pressing than a very slim chance of promotion. Autos are gone (don't think its too early to say that) and Play offs arent our thing.

Remind me of that definition of stupidity again, isn't it - doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results... (thats United, not you by the way)

I wonder what this seasons target was. Do we think that Phipps et al will announce this publicly again like last season?

I don't disagree with what you say but seeing as we have done the same thing every season since I can remember I don't have massive faith in change. I'm more confident we won't sell only because we don't have a great deal of quality that would interest anyone up the food chain.

Hammond got caught in possession too many times yesterday tbh
I wouldn't sign him permanently but what do I know
Very disappointing yesterday,2 points thrown away, however, coutts is developing into a very good footballer
,we were very comfortable until the coutts, bash subs, went too deep and paid the price

Thrown the towel in for the time being Swiss?

There is a difference though now. They know within the club that we're crap, we've got decent money in the club (relative to where we are) and we're now playing up to the big spenders tag like we're the Man City of the third division... except we're not that good...

Yes. I don't think you are being of late. :)
UTB

Ok, but i think its time we took drastic action
- Not the owners (although they need to do better)
- Not the manager (although he needs to do better)

But
- The board - Its not working in its current set up from a purely footballing perspective
- The players - They are all under performing in the league. That's clear based on a) Past performances last season (yes there were some); b) one or two this season; c) Cup games

Apart from my comments related to Neil Collins i have been fair in my assessments of all of the above. My point against Hammond is not personal, but i do not understand how a player who's clearly not in form or fit can be taking the place of a young player on our books who's able to last 90 mins....

Some of my comments are subjective, but the points i make are generally objective, even when being critical.... at least thats the intent (as always)
