Love how he kissed the badge after he scored, just seen on behind the blades . Trouble is going to break a lot of hearts at end of season

Some interesting insights including the difference between Wilder and Hecky, and why in the last two matches the players have seemed fitter and more full of energy in matches.

We should have made him ‘the new Ndiaye’ once Ndiaye decided to leave.

We should have then concentrated on having a midfield that can’t be walked through at will.

It’s almost as if we have learned nothing.

The only player here who will still be playing PL football next season
He will be in the City squad theres no doubt of that
Outstanding footballer with a tremendous attitude and ability

Yes, yes it did.

I really rate McAtee. He was brilliant last season, and he's a good kid, with a sensible head on his shoulders, and bags of quality and potential. It's sad to think this season probably spoiled the magic for him a little and he's struggled at times.

I would think City would have been watching how he performed this season and have been disappointed, suspect he will be sold.
Think he has not shown inner strength he getting stuck in at times and seeming to give up.
On his own reflection of this season, would like to think he will be stronger mentally.
Thank him for last season and hope he does have a reasonable football career

Good on the ball, completely anonymous off it and that's why he won't make it in the Premier League. You can't expect your team mates to do all the donkey work for you. Look at Foden at Man City. Great goal scorer, creates lots of chances, but when City don't have the ball he's amongst the thick of it fighting to get it back.

McAtee over the last two years has blown massively hot and cold. For the first half of last season he was largely poor, then in the last three months he suddenly came alive. This season he had been largely poor on the whole (not the only one), but for a minor hot streak.

I'm not sad to see him go and I wouldn't have him back on loan next season. Too much over hype and not enough end product or positive contribution.

He's as soft as shit, goes missing, never a prem player, probably drift down the leagues when he leaves City.

Think I pretty much agree with this. Seemed to clock out once Hecky left for me, when he signed on again he was full of praise for "the gaffer" and don't think he's hit it off with Wilder the same for whatever reason.

He's young with so much to learn to be a Premier league player. He'll end up in a promotion winning Championship side, have an okay season back in the Premier League. Then suddenly he'll become a star for that club and we'll all be saying we should have tried to keep him. But it won't be with Citeh.

In hindsight a year at Leicester would have been better for him. We couldn’t afford his physical and defensive weaknesses in our terrible team. And that situation didn’t afford opportunities for him to show his real talents. Or even work on his weakness.

Unfortunate all round.
Yeah - wouldn't be surprised to see him at Leicester next season in one way or another

He had potential but he'll never reach it.
He has 2 feet but unfortunately has only learned to kick with 1 of them.

For parts of the season was our best player. Unfortunately he couldn't do enough with what little of the ball he received.

Not sure he's been 'with it' the last couple of months, and in fairness he's not been playing that much. I would say at Palace whenever that was he looked like the only one that could produce some magic.

A real shame, but I don't blame him or United. We're probably just not good enough to have someone like Macca in the XI.

I just hope that this season hasn't soured his memory of his time with us. Last season was like a fairy tale for the two City lads, with both having real moments of magic and memories to last a lifeline. You could see what it meant to them when the players celebrated promotion after beating West Brom.

And to think we were lamenting, and feeling sorry for Doyle not being able to come back here in the summer. Of the two he has certainly landed on his feet for the time being and will be an important player for Wolves going forward. Whilst Macca isn't anywhere near good enough for City just yet, and I can see a prolonged period of loans for him before being sold.

He'll be a Prem player, or at least a top division player on the continent, but he won't play for a 'top' side, he'll have a few England appearances. But the fact he's still never (or maybe once or twice?) completed 90 minutes for us tells its own story.

6 times.

It wouldn’t surprise me if he was in Man City’s squad next season.

Came into his own last year in a promotion winning team.

When we have so little of the ball, he’s a little bit fur coat and no knickers at this level.
