He's as soft as shit, goes missing, never a prem player, probably drift down the leagues when he leaves City.Good on the ball, completely anonymous off it and that's why he won't make it in the Premier League. You can't expect your team mates to do all the donkey work for you. Look at Foden at Man City. Great goal scorer, creates lots of chances, but when City don't have the ball he's amongst the thick of it fighting to get it back.
McAtee over the last two years has blown massively hot and cold. For the first half of last season he was largely poor, then in the last three months he suddenly came alive. This season he had been largely poor on the whole (not the only one), but for a minor hot streak.
I'm not sad to see him go and I wouldn't have him back on loan next season. Too much over hype and not enough end product or positive contribution.
Think I pretty much agree with this. Seemed to clock out once Hecky left for me, when he signed on again he was full of praise for "the gaffer" and don't think he's hit it off with Wilder the same for whatever reason.Good on the ball, completely anonymous off it and that's why he won't make it in the Premier League. Yeah - wouldn't be surprised to see him at Leicester next season in one way or anotherIn hindsight a year at Leicester would have been better for him. We couldn’t afford his physical and defensive weaknesses in our terrible team. And that situation didn’t afford opportunities for him to show his real talents. Or even work on his weakness.
Unfortunate all round.
There's as much chance of Macca coming back as there is of us getting promoted.I'd have him back in a heartbeat for a Championship campaign.
Not convinced on him getting in the England side. I can't see him getting on man city's either! He will have a very successful career and play for England. You watch.
He'll be a Prem player, or at least a top division player on the continent, but he won't play for a 'top' side, he'll have a few England appearances. But the fact he's still never (or maybe once or twice?) completed 90 minutes for us tells its own story.
Came into his own last year in a promotion winning team.Good on the ball, completely anonymous off it and that's why he won't make it in the Premier League.
