James Harper Interview

I liked Brian Howard and thought he could have done it for us and he's had a bit of a poor deal from the fans.

However, James Harper is a better player. Clearly not one for the new manager and this is a very shrewd bit of business - maybe worth at least two places in the table.

The interview was fantastic, finally a player that genuinly seemed excited about joining the best team and club in the world. It was uplifting to hear a player share similar enthusiasm to me. Of coures I only speak fluent yorkshire so I didnt really understand most of what he said!!!

What does slightly concern me is that despite his interview, despite the verbal confirmation from both club and player, there is nothing on this anywhere! Lets just hope that there isnt a stumbling block anywhere with this

I was thinking this.
But the BBC seem to have been pretty useless with their deadline day list this year.

When I saw them both play together I actually thought Harper looked the better player.

Agreed. I don't know what's gone wrong for him there, but whenever I've seen him I've been really impressed. I was amazed nobody came in for him when they were relegated.

A Reading fan that I know says this:

"he was brilliant with Sidwell but never really been the same since. Looks better than what he actually is really because he's super fit and runs and runs but never really hits a killer pass or makes amazing tackles. Very much passes sideways and waves his arms about. part from that he's brilliant!"
