Has come in and looks like he's doing the job we bought Leon Clarke to do.

It's a shame in some respects but good management not to persevere with him out of stubbornness and admit an error. You

.....Make me feel like a natural woman?....

Whilst I agree re Hanson, I still think Clarke could have a role to play between now and the end of the season. If Billy get’s injured or needs a rest, Lavery is probably first in line to replace him but that would promote Clarke to the bench and could get a chance to stake a claim again. That said, I’m delighted with the way Hanson and Sharp have begun their partnership. Whilst Clarke has been disappointing to date, he's not a bad option to have around as 4th or 5th choice. Talk about strength in depth!

Had initial doubts - wins a lot in the air - good movement in the box.

For our goal, he isolated himself away from both centre halves and was on the back post with their right back - deserves credit for that as it proves he has a footballers brain.

PS: Taffazoli was rubbish - if we were interested, we got away with one here.

Really?! RS commentator and Edwards were very complimentary about him referring to him as “a thorn in our side” and said he beat Hanson in the air quite a few times. Every time we put a cross over, it seemed he was the one that headed clear.

He's 6'7 so you'd expect him to win his fair share of headers but apart from that didn't look up to much and if Peterborough are paying him the 10K a week that we refused to then they aren't getting value for money IMO.

yes, really. He was all over the place with his partner Ball. It's only an opinion if you think differently.

The post above thought similar on what was on show yesterday. I counted 3 headers in the 2nd half from Hanson - 1 where the goal keeper palmed it away, 1 where Hansen headed over from a cross by JOC and the header Hansen won for the goal. If I was the P'boro manager i'd be asking why the pair of them let Hansen get on the far post with a small fullback - it cost them the game.

I can't profess to have an opinion as I wasn't there. I was just surprised to read it given what Giddings and Edwards had said.

Very disappointed Mr raul ..

Thought you would have said...

[Wait for it.... ]

Are the Sunshine On My Leith ....

X

The Proclaimers are just Chas and Dave for the celtic fringe, right John ? But "Sunshine on Leith" ...... Fuck me. What an absolutely, completely, 100%, gorgeous, perfect, pop song :)

Agree. We've got more tactical options than any team in this league, as far as I'm aware. Whatever they do to stop us playing, we can just change what we do. They change again to counter it, we go back to what we were doing before or change it again.
I don't think other teams have got the range of players to cope with it. They have Plan A and maybe B, we just go to C, then D if C doesn't work.

Indeed yes ....... makes a change from Adkins where if plan A didn't work we brought the geese on !! :eek:o_O;)

and don't forget his amazing substitutions, that made little sense to any one including the player coming off and those going on, he did the same at reading we should have seen it coming..... thank fuuk we now have Tufty in charge, I dread to think how low we would have gone had adkins been given another year.

yeah, no probs.

As we were linked I kept a close(ish) eye on Tafazolli and although he was ok, he didn't stand out as expected. It was rumoured he went to Posh on 10K - if so, that would be a big disapointment and if we gave in because of wages, then once again CW has done the right thing.
Hanson won his fair share of balls in and around the centre - but it was Hansons ability to find space in the box and to "lose" either CH that was more impressive.
Tafazollii just looked a bit uncomfortable against a good team - I expected more. Perhaps he is better than this but P'boro's home form is not good and MK took them for 0-4 a couple of weeks back.

Will be interested to see if he develops - but all in all, JOC is developing nicely which is all I expect from a younger CH. Jake Wright just shows what a good CH should be like and what Tafazolli should be showing.
