In a 70's mood, get those flairs and round collar shirts dusted off (if you are old enough to remember)!

Blades fans were dancin' and singin', and movin' to the groovin'
and just when it looked right, Chris Wilder turned around and shouted
"play that ball to Hanson's head boys, play that ball to Hanson, high, play that ball to Hanson's head boys
Hanson will head it, so Sharpe can bury it at the back post"

More 70's flavour!

The game was looking even
heading for draw
Chris Wilder started shouting
Get that ball up off the floor

Wanna see it flying through the air, yeah
Wanna see it flying through the air

to big James Hanson (yeah)
to big James Hanson

At first, due to his size, I thought Taffazoli was going to neutralize Hanson's physical presence in the box........nope........

Me too - he was a big chap and as we were apparently interested pre-season, I kept a close eye on him. Thought he was average to poor. Glad we didn't get him tbh.

And there are some that STILL believe that Clarke will come good !!!

Same crew that thought Henderson, Higdon and Sammon would come good ?

At what point do you throw the towel in fellas ??

It's the Blades way :)

Clark has had an unfortunate season with injuries, let's see what he can produce when fit,his scoring record is good ,how about laying off and give the bloke a chance.I know he's an X pig but we have had some good yards from former pigs,

Had initial doubts - wins a lot in the air - good movement in the box.

For our goal, he isolated himself away from both centre halves and was on the back post with their right back - deserves credit for that as it proves he has a footballers brain.

As indeed he did for his excellent goal against Wimbledon. One of many very astute Wilder signings. Jayo will be the next one to show us he's better than we thought.

Well he curled a delightful peach of a cross for Hanson which led to our goal,a very good 1st impression from the boy from the land of the star jumper

Has come in and looks like he's doing the job we bought Leon Clarke to do.

It's a shame in some respects but good management not to persevere with him out of stubbornness and admit an error. You
Are the Apple of my eye?

I hope so - both me and my nipper were well impressed with O'Shea v p'boro. Dare I say he looks "classy" on the ball...........here's hoping.

All he has known in his short time is success following Peterborough though

They're were some chabbies along with us on Satdi, 16 years or so...all they've known/can really remember is L1 :o

Hanson is a lump. This lad says so at 11:50ish and he seems to know the score

Don't knock the lad (not too much), he's passionate about his team which is how it should be. After all, when you're his age much of what you learn about the game comes from the adults on the terraces, for better or worse. He's right though, Hanson is a lump, who just happens to be forming an effective partnership with Sharp, that other 'useless' waster. It made me smile listening to the kid talk about us, next season he'll have the delights of Rovrum to diss.

wow he is bitter (either that or a secret wednesday fan) sharp should have been sent off, hanson is a lump, claims we didnt deserve to win, praises junior fatty morais (dont remember him doing anything worthwhile), confused as to why were top of the league, i seem to recall that we outplayed them in the second half

Poor lads just about what....12?

Think he might be watching but not really paying attention. He's passionate about his team after all, so he can't deal with his bias.

PS: Taffazoli was rubbish - if we were interested, we got away with one here.

Tafazolli was positioned a bit higher than the other defenders as the cross for the winning goal comes in. Sharp runs into the space behind him:

Tafazolli switches off completely as the cross goes to the back post. Watch the difference between him and Sharp in anticipating Hanson's header across the box:

Nah, I think most of us were like him at his age. You can't accept your team was beaten by a better side no matter what because they are so special to you. Fair play to him
