CONFIRMED James Hanson

My take (guess!) is he's already signed and it will be announced when the teamsheets go in tonight, give Rosler more to think about with less time to prepare. Pretty sure that if that was our aim the club could get RS and the Stir to oblige.

Exactly the inclusion of Hanson in our lineup could and will force Fleetwood's to re-think their plan for tonight, so keeping the deal from being announced and leaving them guessing right until the last possible second plays into our favour.

I will be dissapointing personally (if true) because I think he could have been a good assett. But if he has chosen fucking Burton over us, favouring a relegation scrap over a promotion push, then balls to him (again, if true).

Money indeed talks.

If it is true, it may not be the player at all, but his club...as with McFadzean...Burton could offer a bit more or even the same structured differently...

I reckon he'll start tonight mind ;)

If Hanson does not sign then we should go and get the other James.

I'm waiting for the "we have no ambition" comments.

When we court potential targets we show them our ground, training facilities etc
And offer a good salary with a promise of more based on success.

It's like taking a really fit beautiful bird out for a meal and buying her little presents.
If she says "ah but I've got other irons in the fire and they buy me bigger presents"

Would you accept it and go out to buy bigger presents and take her for nicer meals etc
Or would you say " I'll tell you what if you think they are better then just f&&k off"

If Hansons gave us his word but at the 11th hour his agent starts mentioning better offers from Burton I would expect Wilder to be furious and tell the agent to choose Burton if all he's bothered about is short termism and money. Wilder won't bow down to anyone. A player needs to WANT to join us to keep the team spirit strong.

Makes you wonder if vitriol from our ex manager Clough is a motivation behind some of his targets. Remember he gazumped us when we wanted McFadzen from MK Dons.

He'd be stupid to turn us down for 4 months of Championship football when we're top of L1.

I think he'll play tonight.

But if anything has gone wrong, then we'll sign someone else - another striker, a winger, centre back, whatever, and I'll be happy enough about that.

If Hanson does move to Burton then I could understand it.

1. He won't have earned a massive amount of money during his career so at 29 he should take the best contract.

2. He's hardly a guaranteed starter and likely to be sold if we go up, so maybe Burton are giving more first team opportunities?

3. He's shit and his style of football suits the garbage Clough serves up!

What a terribly jaded view you have of this fellow dear YES Blade!

I think you got 1 out of 3 of those right. The first one. Although he did earn £6 an hour once working in the Co-op.

Most on here are talking about him being an impact sub so it's far from certain that he will be a regular starter.
