It was Frank Lampard who said Monty was very difficult to play against rather than best midfielder he played against.

Oh yeah you have had a better football career and knowledge than Terry and Lampard!
I guess you have too eh? Oh sorry you sit there with the history of Sheffield United and a scrapbook with the pages stuck together, fookin grow up.

Bit needless on all accounts this isn't it? I respect Silent for his views and knowledge without thinking he is right in everything he says. Fuck me, even at a time like this people have to be at each other's throats. Think you happen to be right, Hanson is good for this level but then I thought Coutts and Freeman were offski this summer. Be happy if he does become the next Brian Deane. Thankfully it isn't any of us making the decisions over who starts etc. :)

Needless no, if Silent wants to dish it out I'm happy to give it back Hanson Haters indeed what a drama queen.

Hanson haters? I don't think anyone as said that more like he isn't scoring enough that's all. You really are a drama queen at times, mind you there are a few cronies use this site who go ape shit at the first sign of someone not clapping like a seal.:rolleyes::rolleyes: btw Charlton's poor defending (yes two players followed him) does not make Hanson the new Brian Deane. He is a limited league one target man get over it FFS.

Have you seen Hanson play?

Like you I always respect Silent comments and in depth knowledge . Also respect yours and Fulwoods .

Cronie bit over :D

Hanson will never be Brian Deane but he serves a purpose and has given us another dimension both in attack and defence .

Ok Hanson has and knows his limitations . So does Wilder and plays him accordingly .

Two of the players that have caused us problems every season are now both on our books . Hanson and Clarke . Say no more.

Fuck me here come the cronies

. For fuck sake , why do we knock our own . Hanson may be a limited league 1 player , but a bloody good limited player . Whether or not Hanson , Clarke and many others will be with us next season remains to be seen.

Would rather be with him than without him . I know it's all opinions , but he is a good player and professional .

If not Wilder would not have signed him IMO

To be fair it's no surprise people are writing off Hanson after scoring once in seven games. I mean there were even some writing off Wilder after 4 games.

It's possible for a striker to do a good job without simply scoring a hatful. Doesn't every striker score every game or two? Course they bleedin' don't. This happened with Done earlier this season. Either you score goals every game or you're efforts aren't good enough to some, even though it's a team game, even though he has a positive effect on results when in the team. We're all but confirmed champions for the time been and on a great run of form (coincidentally since we bought Hanson ) but everyone needs a moan.

As the Bradford fans predicted, Hanson will divide opinion.

I personally don't rate him, but we're winning matches so who cares.

If Hanson is leading the line next season, then we'll be in for a long hard season.

If Hanson is leading the line next season, we'll be doing fine.. Otherwise why would Wilder be selecting him?
For what it's worth I think Hanson was brought in to get us out of this league. No more,no less.. And he''s not doing a bad job of that, so far.. Personally I have as many question marks over Lavery as Hanson. .Chris will sort it...UTB

League One and Championship football are two different things. There are at least 3 or 4 regular starters I wouldn't want anywhere near the starting XI next season.

My thoughts on Hanson too, he was brought here to give us options to get us out of this league. p.s careful you don't get singled out as a Hanson hater ;)

What a pathetic thing to say to one of this boards most respected posters, mind it comes as no surprise coming from you,the man who claimed we were going to Emulate Blackpool.

I would say it's you who needs to grow up making ridiculous claims like that rather than Mr Silent

I can understand you having a go at metalblade.

Why not silent - it was he that introduced the word HATER against 3 posters and other un-named ones, which has fanned the flames.

Comments? Lots of hypocrisy appearing on this thread now. Just because a poster caries respect doesn't mean they can't be wrong or come in for criticism.

It was the uncalled for personal abuse toward Silent that I took umbrage against

Silent,you're a naughty boy

There does that redress the balance?

Well done - Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit.

UTB

What do you want me to say to Silent?

Silent you were bang out of order calling or introducing the word hater

Now about metal blade, are you going to condemn him for the personal abuse directed toward Silent which was totally uncalled for?

I really think we should run the club like Ebbsfleet Town (?) and pick the team each week via a fans committee.
The ref would see finally the team sheet about 20 past 3 on a Saturday and it would be full of crossing outs, tippex and overwritten names!
:(:(:(:(:(:(

The apparent rule of the forum is not to play the poster - Silent kicked off the latest issue by doing just that. Is the word "hater" really justified? My opinion is that it isn't. Actually surprised that silent has laid himself open to it, to be honest.

As for metal - he has responded to being lumped in a post with the word "hater" - what would you do in similar circumstances? defend yourself or crawl under a stone as metal suggests?

There is no evidence whatsoever that the posters called out, hate Hanson - they don't - it really is as simple as that - unless you can justify the post with hate in it and want to defend it yourself?

UTB

People are looking into next season, if Hanson is leading the line etc. Chris will sign the best players available to him.

He then will see them in pre-season training / games and whoever is the best will play.

CW isn't a manager who will play players due to reputation or that he thinks he has too, whoever the best strikers are come August this year will start. I wouldn't worry about it.

Fair enough,so metal can get away with personal abuse, but not Silent

Hanson knows what he is and so do our coaching staff,he was brought in to help get the job done .He's a 2 year contract so I would expect him to be around next season ,his physical presence will be useful in the championship as all centre backs hate playing against big physical centre forwards. Every promotion throws up some surprisus Hanson might be one, but let's Write him off anyway.
He's a good pro and if he and Wilder feel he can t do a job he will be off to pastures new with our best wishes, but as I said earlier he might surprise a few.
