It looked to me as though he was so use to rolling the ball out to a player with time and space to play out from the back, that he'd never really had to kick the ball long, his kicking was dreadful! But thankfully his shot stopping was excellent. Wilder alluded to his kicks and the fact he'd like him to be more vocal.


I hope he can work on his kicking because there's going to be times when we could really do without giving possession away unnecessarily when he'll have to kick like Saturday.

I think with some practice, his kicking could be a real attacking threat for us. Kicking the ball as high as he does makes it extremely difficult for defenders to judge the path of the ball. If he can blast it into orbit and get it to land around the 18 yard box cosistatntly will leave the opposition defenders ether scrambling and missing headers or on the stretcher with concussion. Good option to have if we are chasing a game or there are no wide men to throw to. His shot stopping and handling was superb. Looks to have a real presence about him, let's hope the lad saves us a lot more points this season.
