Jamal Blackman

Thought he was absolutely brilliant last night, with out him we could easily have been 2-1 down at half time.
He’s come on leaps and bounds since he first joined.
Would love us to sign him but reckon he’ll be out of our price range

The minimum requirement for a goalkeeper I would have thought?

24 years old and yet make a senior appearance for Chelsea, where there are 3 other keepers ahead of him. Surely they won't stand in his way?

Alongside a striker, a goalkeeper is arguably the most important position to recruit this season to compete with Moore and allow Eastwood to get out on a season loan (assuming Long will leave). £2m would be a fair price for Blackman IMO and would be money well spent in the long term.

Obviously all hinges on whether Kev and Abs can decide who's ball it is by then though

Made some great saves, and bar one corner caught absolutely everything. Really good performance

If it's the one I'm thinking of, BL end in the second half, it seemed like a routine catch for him, in his six yard box and it could have cost us. Minutes later and a virtually identical corner came in and he took it easily. Very odd.

Would love it if signing him was realistic.

I mean, it's fine if we haven't got several million to spend on single players, we'll make do again, but it'd be nice to be able to expand our options, even if only slightly.

Having not been overly impressed with him to start with, I'd now have him back next season (no matter the division) in a heart beat. If we did get him back, I suspect that it would be the end of Moore at BDTBL. Because JB would expect to be 1st choice and the costs involved wouldn't warrant a substitute role.

I suspect that if Chelsea do sell him, on the back of his performances this season with us, the fact that he is a Londoner & only a decent salary, that he would be highly attractive to the likes of Palace, Watford or West Ham as 2nd choice. They've all got keepers well over 30 in their ranks, and he represents good value, visible improvement and has potentially 14 years of playing time in him.

He had a good game but he only made 2 saves in the first half and one of them was quite straight forward. I would have been extremely disappointed had we conceded 2.

Ability and English goalkeeper tax means he'll likely be 5-8 million quidlings I'd imagine. Would love to have him though. Loan if we're in the Championship, get wallet aht if we go up. If he wants to leave London, and Chelsea would sell that is.

His exocet missile throwing is a new weapon in his armoury. He needs to launch more of them during the game.

Was watching him warm up at Ipswich and was really surprised by how far he can actually throw it and I am surprised he has never used this before. He tried it a few times to fleck and Duffy yesterday and worked well but at Ipswich he was throwing it basically the length of the pitch when warming up. Really like Blackman and as people have mentioned would like to be able to sign him at the end of the season but not to sure if we will be able to. Only time will tell (fingers crossed)

Courtois looks like he could leave. Jamal could be their second keeper next year?

Immense last night.Would love to keep him next season even if it's only on loan.

More like we get him in on loan again and increase his resale value for Chelsea. Which is why Chelsea have a ton of players out on loan that will never play for their first team.

I think he's a very good keeper and a good young player but the overreaction of some on here really is comedy, let him keep his place for the rest of the season and prove it no need to laud someone with pressure just as he starts coming into his own.

Side note: work will be paying off with goalkeeping coach Darren Ward, he's the best in the game honestly i'd wager that against any of the keeping coaches.

He also went in, without flinching, where the boots were flying, to collect a low cross. Brave lad. Excellent keeper. Gerriminin.

Appreciate we need other positions as a priority but purely based on value for money and as an investment we should try everything we can to sign him. 3 million ish would be a bargain however I don’t think Chelsea would budge for less than 5. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again he will be the England keeper.

Chelsea might not want to sell him. Could look at another possible loan.

Is this the same player that was called a waste of space after the QPR game away earlier this season when he clashed with Carter Vickers and dropped the ball for them to score. Two faced springs to mind.
