Jake Wright may not be a Prem player but his attitude to the game is something I would love to see passed on to the young players, hope he gets a coaching job with us...

I think Jake Wright's major contribution to the team was his on pitch coaching of Jack O'Connell. I remember listening to Jake repeatedly shouting at Jack (in a constructive way) at Wimbledon.

Jake was great for us in league 1 and his speed of thought out weighed his lack of speed on his feet - but I think in the championship his lack of speed was beginning to catch him out (before he got injured that is)

But the fellow is right! Basham was and is dodgy defensively. He will demonstrate that many times before the season is out, not least by way of conceding daft free-kicks on the edge of the box.

Right now, he more than makes up for those deficiencies by his overall contribution, which is outstanding. His place in the team is one of the easy selections at the moment.

So do you accept you knew nothing about John Egan when we signed him? You just ‘thiught’ he was going to be Basham’s replacement and thus totally imagined him to be a comfortable ball playing, 110%, marauding, overlapping right centre half?

Fair play to Jake Wright, should he stay with us and we go up he’s literally gone from a player released from League 2 to a player on the books at a premiership club. Madness.

I actually still prefer him to Stearman.

This Jake Wright love-in is just as absurd as the current goings-on at S6. He played 40-odd games for us, most of which were in L1 and he was a failure when he made the step up to the Championship. To top that he hasn't figured for a year. Then all of a sudden he's a club legend and talk of him becoming a coaching guru. He played his part in the L1 campaign, fair dos, but as for the rest give me a break, this is cringeworthy.

Signed a 2 year deal in the summer 2016 but does anyone know why his contract doesn't run out till 2020? Solid player he is but never seen any news about an extension and he should have been a free last summer judging his 2 year deal.
Needs game time and would get in any league 1 side
