Signed a contract at Chelsea until 2013 and joined Barnsley on loan.

I'm pleased for the kid. He'll be playing under a decent manager as well.
Good deal we got, paid for the toilet and bar area of the hotel.

How the mighty fall. I thought that he was far too good for this level of football..
Hang on, I'm getting lost here. Isn't Donny the horrible little club now?
Is Kyle actually on loan at Villa as he played against us but I have not seen him play again for them? He doesn't even make the subs bench. Maybe not all are blinkered by the fact that he scored a goal

Just stirring Mic but a lot of people do get blinded by the fact that a player has scored a goal. I can't really say that I noticed him much apart from the suicidal crossfield pass he made that would have been punished at a higher level. He is not ready for England though, I would rather see Jags play at right back if he is not going to break up the Terry/Rio partnership
Terry and Rio, possibly one of the worst centre half pairings there has been for years. Breaking up that partnership is long overdue
We couldn't do anything about Jags leaving, apart from staying up as he had a get out clause in his contract. The KW deal I think has been done to death now
Having watched Green throw another goal in against B'ham the other night I think Jags is 2nd best Bladesman![]()
Terry is the weak link and has been for years. However, I'd put the Jagielka-Kilgallon partnership which played at Leicester in our promotion season below them.

The get out clause didn't appear as if by magic but the greater cock-up was setting a £4m figure which meant that was all we'd get.
Around the same time, Curtis Davies fetched £10m if I recall correctly.
It was another one of the pie man's great efforts.
Better players than Jags have walked for free. You talk about it as though we just had to name our fee. When he signed the contract it was clear that the boot was on his foot. If we'd been unrealistic about the get out fee, no doubt dicatated by Jags, then we risked losing him for free.
Though blaming Robinson for everything from world hunger upwards in the done thing, it really is far more complicated that you ever assert.
UTB
Give over, our relationship with Jags was a harmonious one and we could have simply had a gentleman's agreement on it or a clause which said he can go if we go down.
He was under contract so he couldn't have 'walked for free'.
It was another failure of management. If you sell a player for less than he's worth - much less than he's worth in this case - something has gone wrong.
The pie man's performance was such that he was sacked from the club not so long ago. Probably because he failed to solve world hunger.
