Stupid really potentially a game closer to a suspension for celebrating a goal in a 2-1 loss.

You could forgive a 90th minute equaliser/ winner but getting a yellow for a goal that now means nothing.

I'm all for celebrating but would fine him if I were the club - he could have cost them the game if he had picked up another yellow (yes, I realise that they lost anyway 🙄) and, as stated above, he's one step closer to a potential suspension.

The yellow card for a shirt off celebration is a pathetic rule.

People slagging off a player for not adhering to a stupid rule is extremely pathetic.
I’d say that celebrating by taking a shirt off is pathetic, it’s excessive, nothing wrong with a manly handshake 🙂Ref’s just abiding by the rule which is there for good reason, it’s a football match, not a strip club.

Imagine if he’d then got booked for a challenge and a second yellow, he’d have let his team down. In my view, wearing socks over the knee should be an automatic yellow anyway, so he’d have been off regardless.

Fair play to the lad, clearly enjoyed the goal and probably just reacted instinctively.

Maybe there was a reason for his excitement… a goal that potentially could’ve put his side 3rd, away from home in front of an excellent away attendance, at a club recently relegated and getting a big goal against the run of play

Didn't he have some sort of dealings with the pigs in his younger days? Maybe he loves the massive like every other neutral football fan does and shot his load when he scored against us and thought of the joy he would bring to the millions of porcine.
Yes ex pig played for their youth team.

No problem with players celebrating but he knows it's a certain booking (whether you agree with the rule or not). He could easily have mistimed a tackle 5 minutes later and been sent off with 30 minutes of the game to go. He was stupid doing it.

When I were a lad, team mates acknowledged a goal with a brief handshake. In these Covid times a fist bump will do.

I'm sure it was some Johnny Foreigner who first ripped his shirt off. Until then nobody had even thought of it. Now they're all at it.

This player thought he was clever by wearing two shirts and removing one when he scored. Still ended up been booked and it was his 2nd yellow so was sent off.

I'm more concerned by the commentary saying it was a perfectly weighted pass when it was clearly too heavy

We’re you born in 1903?

Absolutely nothing to see here. Ryan Giggs struggling to put a shirt back on (ironically) now means this is a yellow card ‘offence’. Stupid rule.

Was a great goal, the kind of goal fleck could score with his eyes closed..... If only he'd have a dig..

Fleck was great yesterday IMHO.

I'm not upset or offended by his celebrations or owt, but it was fucking stupid of him to give himself a guaranteed booking with so long of the game left. I'd be more angry as a Stoke fan to be honest.

Who gives a fuck...if it was one of our players showing that enjoyment I would fuckin love it.
