Had a good season at Bournemouth, 2016? Got a bit unlucky during his time at West Ham as they were a complete mess at the time.

I’ll reiterate, I’m not suggesting we pay him £30k a week on a four year deal. I’m saying if we could get him cheap until the end of the season it may be an option. Of course I’d much prefer someone like Swift, but that doesn’t seem to be the market we are shopping in.

Did he? The season he managed to complete 90 minutes just 15 times? To be fair that’s the most full games he’s played since the 12/13 season so comparatively it does look good I suppose.

He played a few games for Bournemouth last season, and showed that he’s not good enough at this level.

I’m baffled at how, even as a cheap option, anyone could think that it would be a good move. All of this “there’s a top player there” is nonsense. He hasn’t shown that since he last played regularly for Arsenal and that was 8 years ago.
