Player Suggestion Jack Wilshere

I still don't want him, we aren't a charity, but that is sad to see.
I hope he does find a club and some success again.
 
No one gave McGoldrick a chance loads said he's past it...Jack Wilshere give him a trial absolutely nothing to lose he just may come up trumps....why wouldn't you give him a trial to prove himself...nothing to lose at all and maybe just maybe it works out
 
Do we know why Bournemouth released him?
 
It's an interesting one. The lad has talent, but there seems to be something, behind the scenes, that we don't know about. I am surprised that no one has taken a punt on him.

Not saying that should be us, of course, but it does seem strange that a fairly well known player has no offers at all.

Holding out for too much in wages, maybe.

Mcgoldrick played 157 games in the 5 years before we signed him. Wilshire has played 57 in the last 5 years .
 
Like an Aston Martin made entirely of glass, he's lovely to watch but very expensive and very likely to break under the duress of doing the thing he's supposed to do.

For that reason, I'm oot.
 
Yeah why not? He could keep Moose company in the John Ebrell / James Wallace memorial medical bay..

He had talent, he doesn’t anymore. Bournemouth took a punt on him last season and saw very little return for their troubles.
 
We don't have the players in midfield to stop him from getting kicked every 2 mins.
 
Think he was injury free for Bournemouth though and played 18 times but he can't have done the well if they released him, surely? I'm sure he could walk into a league one team so when he says he can't find a club I would guess it's just he doesn't want what's probably been offered this summer.

He only started 9 league games and that was mostly at the start of the season when they had a few players out injured.

Wants to go abroad where there isn’t a narrative against him according to his ornstein interview. I think he’s in a weird place mentally listening to it. It seems he still considers himself a top level footballer talking about how he could’ve forced his way into emery’s side when all the evidence points to the contrary. Needs to accept his current reality and rebuild imo
 
Realistically we havent a clue what is going on with him, would he even pass a medical? would mostly take until December to get match fit, and still he could get injured. Only way i'd have him is on a low basic with match appearance bonuses, if he really wants to play he'd take that

Apologies, I meant the start of his time there. They signed him because of their injury problems. Once their players were back fit he barely featured.
 
I can very much see him retiring from the game within the next 6-12 months

As for Utd going for him - for every McGoldrick out there there are lots and lots of Rodwells / Ebbrells. I can't help feel that Wilshire falls into the latter category. I can't remember when I last saw him play and was impressed. Every time I have watched him over what feel like numerous years, he looks washed-up and a shadow of the player he once was.
 
I’d 100% take him. People comparing him to rodwell but rodwell was never as good as wilshere. Technically excellent just the injury problems. Would work with the way slav wants to play but would have to be a pay as you play for it to be seen as a good signing for me
