Ravel to Salford on loanI was thinking more Ravel :-o
How? Why? Based on what evidence?
In terms of a cost / output basis, if you'd said Freeman you may have a point... If you'd name checked Ryan Leonard you'd also increase the validity of your point.
But paying nothing but minimal wages for a player who doesn't turn out is "dumb" ....
Probably on the evidence there have been more sightings of Shergar this year than Ravel.
I seem to remember being MOM in the Cup win Vrs Blackburn...
He's not going to feature, time to move on. Even Wilder doesn't get everything 100% correct.
Ravel has more baggage than Tui.
Maybe, but he wasn't a "dumb" signing like the moron above suggested....
No I agree at the time he was a cheap gamble but it doesn't look like paying off. Why? who knows but it's not going to break the season is it, nor will Rodwell if he gets a short term deal. Wilder has produced more big returns on his gambles than he's had losses.
He's right-footed however he's capable with his left, not sure where he would be competing but i'd assume for a midfield spot rather than centre half.Decent move this imo. He’s left footed. Think he will be replacing Bryan in the squad, a sitting midfielder who can cover JOC if needed that’s Wilders thinking here..
Kean Bryan’s another that could be shown the door
He will go out on loan to get some game time and re-establish himself.Wilder mentioned him in yesterday's interview and how as a 'young player he needs football'.
I'd suggest he needs a lot of things. Football not being one of them.

Had fitness problems which hopefully he is over now, has potential but so do a lot of young players who fall by the wayside.
Man City have a buy back clause on him so he obviously has potential.

I've seen him twice. Garbage twice. Out of his depth against Barnet and tripe against pig reserves.
Man City probably have buy backs on everyone. It means little. If you think he'll ever be anywhere near City's squad then you've had too much Christmas sherry already.
apparently so, first site I checked said left and majority of his goals on a highlight video were left, few more sites say right so even better..some of those highlights were 10 years old but lad can certainly carry the ball and as a defensive midfielder he gotwhat is required to play left or right centre back in our stystem.
With his attributes and being (relatively) two footed he could be an option for six positions in our current formation. A dream squad signing at least? Contrast this to Morrison, whose main position doesn't exist in the setup we're playing now.
do you not think Morrison is well suited to the McGoldrick roll? Not saying he’s anywhere near as good but that’s where I’d play him? But yes agree think Roswell could be a very astute signing.
I struggle with the negative vitriol towards players from fans when directed at players who expect their contracts to be honoured. Gonna get Murdered for this but it was the same with Hammond.. why would they not expect it? The club offers the contracts the player accepts, seems the only hate towards Rodwell is due to his contract situation at Sunderland and I for one don’t blame him for sitting tight.. if no other offers are forthcoming that is
It's all alien to me.
Is a McGoldrick roll when you watch a youtube video and get random footage of David McGoldrick?
Harshest on Besic, but usually when allowed 2 loans, you want them both to be fixtures. I bet he hasn't completed a full match in terms of overall minutes and we're at the halfway point of the season.
Besic back we might be signing him permanently for a low-ish fee. His contract at Everton is up in May, there’s no indication Wilder is unhappy with the strength he adds to the squad, and I feel this is more likely to be the route to free up a loan. In fact it wouldn’t surprise me if that’s already agreed in principle.
