It definitely used to get the crowd going when he'd needlessly (but brilliantly) chop the fuck out of somebody tearing down the wing.

He's a hard little bastard that takes no shit.

Some pretty nasty rumours going around about him lately on this forum and he seems to have become the talisman for all things shit within the dressing room (no idea if that's fair or not).

I am glad to see the back of him as both parties needed to move on, but he goes with well wishes based on what I know of him.
I'm not sure that view will be shared by insiders though..

Good luck Jack.
Some of us appreciated you.
I was one. He may not have been the most skilfull player and gave us the occasional bombscare moment but he was generally solid and won most fans over during the good times. Solid pro who was an asset to the team if not a world beater. Wish him all the best.

There are teams in the Premier league with so much talent that they could score for fun in open play and yet a lot of those teams still put an emphasis on creating chances from set plays. I saw 2 goals at the weekend scored from Palace & Burnley that resulted in a long throw routine.

We've had JLT for about 5 years and I can only recall one goal from his long throws.

If the backroom staff had put a bit more effort into utilising this asset then the opinion of Blades about JLT may have been different to the ones on this thread.

(I see Moore and Brewster both scored at the weekend - what do our coaching staff (past & present) do during the week?)

Honestly, good luck to Robbo.

Actually quite dependable, always put a shift in & always gave it his best. Never sent off whilst wearing red & white.

He came under a lot of unnecessary and cruel criticism from a % of fans, being scapegoated for an awful lot.

Yet same fans bitch and moan when he didn't tolerate dogs abuse & gave stick back, rightly so.

Yes, had a mistake in him. I won't dispute that. For large spells in that dire Prem year, he was one of the few [if only] players who we could say gave it their all in matches.

The biggest problem we had was that Wilder for some reason appreciated Robinson’s so called leadership and abrasive manner and saw this as a positive, when it was quite the opposite.
The repetative onfield scuffles and subsequent fines towards the final few games of last season cost us dearly and i think the lack of control was ultimately the responsiblity of the captain and manager. There were undercurrents of discontent and this definately affected our poor end to the season and ultimate failure to gain promotion.
