Hate to piss on everyone's Pukka, but two things:

1. He's not kicked a football in anger for two years. I wouldn't expect him to be firing on all cylinders

2. That injury is still there to be had. Think Coutts, but more profound.

When he was at the height of his powers, JOC was on the verge of an international call-up (and deservedly so). Now we are looking at a long, slow rehabilitation in that sacred No5 shirt

Don’t want to speak for others but I’ll just be happy for the lad to be back playing again. Whether he ever gets near the same levels is open to question but purely on a human level it’ll be good to see him again.

I think he was back at the training ground last month but i assume he is training separately to gain fitness.
