I remember our excellent left sided defender Dave Powell having a career ending injury in the 70s. It is sad for us fans when this happens but catastrophic for the player.

Opposites attract ?If they were so different then why are they best mates ?
IF that's true , it's another nail in CW's reputation - anyone could see JoC was being played when he couldn't play properly.I’ve had it on reliable sources that the original breakdown between the board & CW was JOC
Bettis wanted the OP when it happened at villa away wilder wanted him to carry on
No mate.He wasn’t there.Any pictures of jack in training yesterday ?
Maybe the radio silence has less to do with legal action (hopefully) and more to do with the fact it is a very long-term injury (hopefully not). What's slightly baffling is all the way through this there's been virtually no communication from the club on what the situation is. Usually when players are out fans have an idea about what's going on but not in JOCs.case at any point.
Is the radio silence an indication that there is some potential legal action as mentioned earlier in the thread ?
Worrying thatNo mate.He wasn’t there.
The conclusions (rumours) are written a couple of pages backhate to jump to conclusions
Whilst I appreciate the general concern he isn’t written off yet. I recall that PH had already said he would be unlikely to be ready for pre season training.Lost a quality cb it's a real shame. It's also going to be hard to replace him
one of the most under rated players we have hadI remember our excellent left sided defender Dave Powell having a career ending injury in the 70s. It is sad for us fans when this happens but catastrophic for the player.
If any of our players have a chance of coming back from such a lay off then it’s probably JOC. Looks after himself in the right way and isn’t reliant on blistering pace by any stretch. Wouldn’t want to write him off just yet.
Do that and we may still be a pl team and wilder might even by the manager...Surely, there must be a way for us to go back in time and stop him getting the injury in the first place.
And Dave PowellRemember it being the same with John Ebbrell, Dane Whitehouse and Chris Morgan. Much anticipated returns that never materialised.

I agree, the one thing I would argue is I’m not sure we can find cover. A LCB that overlaps is few & far between.Whilst I appreciate the general concern he isn’t written off yet. I recall that PH had already said he would be unlikely to be ready for pre season training.
Clearly we need cover, but at this level I think Robinson will be more than adequate
