Paul Walker's a Blade. It's Rob Staton who's a pig.

I'd had a few beers so thanks for setting me straight.

I really hope Grappler isn't sat outside Paul Walker's house with a pick axe handle.....

According to wilder he's young and hungry. A bit worrying for me. How is he going to have the energy to run around for 90 minutes.
Thought that myself WYB - with all these young hungry players, our next signing should be a new catering contract !

first interview as a blade seems optimistic admits he made a few bad touches and bad balls knows done from when he was at rochdale

Not now mate, I was, but now I am sat in a Police cell..............

anyone else think he looks a bit like james milner

Re Paul walker.

There seems to be a 50:50 split between yes, he's a pig and yep he's a blade.

Does no one think this might actually just mean he's done a decent job of unbiased reporting?

No its because 50 percent of people spout shit about this subject

He is definitely a Blade , it's no secret and has been a widely acknowledged fact as long as I can remember

At a well known holiday resort where I used to work I wanted to shag a waitress who was slim and had a right rack on her but she knocked me back so I ended up going to bed with another lass with a big rack but unfortunately for me she had a big Arse and belly to match.

So like me the Blades will settle for the 2nd best ;-)

Who was it. Hot Dog Doris didn't have a rack, and you was fortunate enough not to slip Sunderland Becky a length so who was it.

From my recollections of those days, I recall I often used to settle for second best. The best case of that was that Chalet Monster from Accomodation who looked like Siamese Twins with one head......

You're not fussy are you brownie ?

JOC has developed into a defensive rock for the Blades. Another equally strong, uncompromising centre-half, alongside Jake, and we'll have a formidable defence for our Championship exploits. Excellent signing was Jack, he's come on in leaps and bounds, just what we needed. UTB

A point I'd like to make about O'Connell... Brentford have a recent track record of letting good young centre halves leave with Alfie Mawson and Aaron Pierre, think there might be another one too.

Yep!

I've got a very good feeling about this guy.

He captained Rochdale to promotion from L2 when he was 20. That's comparable to what James Wallace was doing for Tranmere. Difference is he's a centre half and doesn't have injury problems.

He could easily be worth a lot of money this time next year.

Sign a number of players like this, and you won't go far wrong in the long run.

Yep!

10/10 signing.

Btw, how much younger does he look without that beard!

Excellent spot, Bergen. 24th Feb. 2015. Clough was our manager and our goals (McNulty and Brayford) were none too shabby.

Overall the balance and calibre of our squad wasn't great though was it, looking back? We've been really spoilt this season - but we've only done what many of us were asking for for sometime; to replace the mediocrity with some of the best/better players in the division in key positions. No wonder we've gone up as champions as soon as we've done that. When we look at key positions, we've had key people bang on form at different times in the season, and collectively it's carried us over the line:

Moore
EEL, O'Connell, Wright, Basham
Freeman
Coutts, Duffy, Fleck
Sharp, Clarke

He was flakey as hell in his early games but a giant by the end of the season. Improving players isn't something we've been used to in recent years.

Excellent critique JD, probably a lot to do with confidence, but we now have a fully formed defensive giant who's pretty good at coming forward too.

It's a list of Tufty Triumph that's lengthening all the time: Coutts, Freeman, Bash, JOC, Duff (by switching him from wide left to no. 10).

Given his goal tally this year, at a pinch we could even chuck Bill in the mix, and that adds up to more than half of the starting XI that have kicked on this season, across the age-range too, from relatively young uns to proper veterans. It takes some skill as a manager/coach to be able to do that, especially in a first season.

I'd still rather have Michael Appleton, though

Buying them is 50% of the story. The scouting and bringing in of key players and talent and blending it in with what we have already this season has been excellent. Step forward Mr Knill and Mr Wilder.

But the breaking of the habit of selling them as soon as they become good and other teams show interest has also been a huge contribution. Imagine where we'd be now without Fleck, Coutts, Duffy, Freeman and any of the three main centre back options, not to mention Sharp or Lavery

Step forward McCabe. You fucked up there, feller.
