Derby fans love his potential but frustrated he can't stay fit. Not heard any attitude stuff from the Derby fan I know but I'd have a bad attitude if I was surrounded by the fuckwits who play at Derby

Annoyingly, that is a good signing for them. Surprised Derby let him out.

He's got poachers instincts. Similar to Billy. If they lay the chances on he'll convert them.

Funny how they were moaning they didn't want Gregory because he was a Blade.

Pretty sure Jack Marriott's entire family are Blades! There was an article saying as much after he scored against us from Derby. He was likely being diplomatic, not wanting to upset the Derby fans, but I find it hard to believe all his family are Blades, including his Dad and he wouldn't be. If not his Dad has a lot to answer for!

He's done very little for last season and this 3 in 37 last year, 1 in 6 this.

At 5'8" I don't get why they signed him, apart from desperation. He seems the type to play the role for which they just bought Windass, bough Kachunga and let's be honest Rhodes too for all his goals for Huddersfield playing off Lee Novak.

If they do still get a target man then they will have, along with Paterson, stockpiled 5 well paid senior strikers plus a young lad they added.

Quite entitled to tell them to jog on when they come asking for a handout, me thinks.

I wonder if they would consider still getting Zohore, paying maybe 25k of his wages and then Rhodes rejoining Huddersfield who just signed Grant? Stranger things have happened.

Though that would leave either Paterson or Marriot in no better position than when they both left their previous clubs!

Think they know something is coming around the corner so they want to get as many points ahead as they can

Good signings Marriott and 7ft 9 Aiden flint

Good luck with that wage Bill in League 1 next year

I don't buy this crap about Blades playing for Wednesday and vice versa. You don't get to be a professional footballer at any level if there is even an inkling of that though process in your head. You pull on the shirt of the team paying your wages and play to the best of your ability. If any of your lads were ever offered professional terms at Hillsbrough (absent any other similar offer) are you seriously saying you'd tell them to turn it down?

Some good signings for Wednesday this transfer window. Managed to hang onto Iorfa & Bannan also.

I think they'll survive unless they're hit with another points deduction.

Alternatively, another window where they've made no attempt to raise any finance from player sales and they've just added two decent wages to the wage bill.

These are the guys who complain about parachute payments right? Claim they are unfair because they don't get used for the intention of making ends meet but allow clubs to speculate to accumulate?

Yet here they are bringing in Marriot who went on a deal of up to 6m and therefore a decent wage to boot and Flint who joined from Middleborough where he'd completed a 7m deal.

So DC extends the spending with a view to then offsetting this with some sort of future bail out from the PL having made zero attempt to balance anything.

Isn't that a little ironic?

Agree entirely.
