Hopefully CWAK will be using Billy as a striker coach as he has this knack of finding space in the 6 yard box.
It's a natural talent and cant really be taught
but passing on this natural skill is something all our stikers should want to try and learn from a master.

How can they learn it if it can't be taught?
 
Not to say I told you so, but I said he would still end up being our top scorer this season, despite all the money we had spent. He might yet not, but it's looking highly likely.
 
What's with all this a Billy Bladey Bladey claptrap.... everyone can see he is finished at this level.... 😏

Some of the posters we have had on here (some arrogants who clearly thought they had a greater knowledge than the rest of us) haven't half talked bollox at times.

You can see his legs have gone - he couldn’t even stand up to head that one in on Sat’day!

Many of us thought Sharp should've been a starter, allowed to lose his place but he needs to start each season by winning back his place in the team.
Mousset and McBurnie both have the potential to be good at this level and maybe even Robinson, we bought what we could afford which was 'potential' rather than the finished article Mitrovic (for example) who was already earning above our wage structure. Only Maupay from the Championship has really proved himself (statistically) and he chose to go elsewhere. Mitchell has once again acquitted himself.
 
Missed Pukki with 11 goals as a player who has stepped up from the Championship.
 
Billy is 34 but he looks after himself so no reason he cannot get at least 2 or 3 more seasons out of him, possibly more wasn't Sherrigham 40 when he was still playing. Stanley Matthews played till he was 50, good god must have been fit to do that.

I want to see Billy end his career at BDTBL he had the short straw twice before when he was gotten rid of, Billy is a natural goal scorer in and around the box Edwards was another one neither were tall blokes but knew where onion bag was.

I still remember the night match v Wigan near season end (4th division) about 2 minutes to go and their player manager Larry Lloyd looked to bench, pointed at Edwards and patted his pocket. Then Waugh threw the ball to Morris on wing he ran and knocked it in box, quick as a flash Edwards had it in net, Lloyd's face was an absolute picture.
 
I wasn’t impressed with Billy in his previous incarnations with our club. He played under several different managers and I found it difficult to accept that all of them were to blame for us not getting the best out of him. I thought he was a decent lower division player, nothing more.

I’ve changed my mind completely about him since then.

Not only that, but I’d go as far as to say he’s a far better player now than he was back then! Stronger, fitter, wiser. The lad is an instinctive finisher. But his all round game is excellent. He holds the ball up so well and brings others into play.

I was amongst Reading fans on their coach coming back from the Madejski last week. Two blokes behind me were talking about Sharp (he played for them of course). One bloke said, “Did you see how well he holds the ball up? It sticks to him like glue!”. And it does. I can’t remember the last time he wasted a ball or failed to hold it up.

But not only that, the lad is an ambassador for the football club and also for Sheffield people. The things that lad has been through and yet he goes out of his way to give enjoyment to others. Like the gesture the other week when he went to see that Wednesday family to give their deceased Blade grandad a shirt.

Make him a bloody Freeman of the city when he retires because that lad has given us something beyond football services.

He’s a very decent human being and I hope he carries on plundering goals for a long time to come yet.

I hate the misuse of the term “legend”. But he’s a legend. Enjoy watching him because your grandkids will be asking you about him in years to come.

Fair comments but also, we shouldn’t forget that we were nailed on to go straight back down last summer. That must have had a big impact on who was prepared to sign for us. I expect a very different scenario come the next transfer window.
 
Anyone kept a clean sheet against him, including just managing to take one off his forehead when it looked a certain goal? 👀 ;)
 
It's taking a while to get this one over the line.

A brace tomorrow would do very nicely.
