Chris doesnt need to step down, the players need to take a hard look at themselves and ask what kind of garbage performances' have they been putting in.

My big concern was that performance was as though the players have accepted we are down.
Their main focus was to keep the score down and to be fair we do generally defend well (in numbers).

Based on overall play 5-0 would have been fair but based on chances....3-0 doesn’t reflect the match fairly,

Ramsdale made some excellent saves but everyone was flagged offside...so his saves meant nothing.
Ignoringthe offside saves...neither goalie had that much to do.
It was an embarrassingly easy match for Southampton....don’t think they got out of 2nd gear.

Really hope your right with that last bit, but this team reminds me of the team that took us from the old Div 1 to Div 4 in five years (1976 - 1981)

It’s a job. It would be financially ridiculous for Chris if he were to quit, so he won’t.
He might get sacked.
I struggle to see any scenario where we are not in the championship next season with or without him. I think I’m optimistic but the idea that we will get 30+ points by April seems more than fanciful.
I would hope the club have plans for both situations and are seriously working on the championship scenario.
